Well as I said I read this whole thing in one go and all in all its not as bad as everyone thinks.

Suddenly, the remains of Ta'wa shudder, as a great power awakens. Old buildings crumble further, pillars topple. And the Temple of Taw shudders violently...

A great force destroyed the ruins in a flash of light and a bang. The world as we know it is over.



A horrifying figure, in the form of a crippled, dirty old man, steps forward. And he speaks:
Die, fiends! Let the power of shadow overtake you!
And with that, he holds his staff out, and prepares to let his power loose...

Really, I think most of the bad parts arose when people started rebelling against His Grisha5ness, rather than leaving the thread to burn out on it's own.
