(Kli: -0 Essence (entire cost offset by Belief))

Kli: The Hummingbirds begin to sing a song of flight and healing for their injured member. The bones broken during the fall repair themselves over the space of a few seconds, and the birds rejoice as the fledgling learns how to fly, assisted in part by the instructional song of flight. The Hummingbirds promise to live by your teachings and to uphold Balance wherever they go. As they return to their duties and nests to begin planning for an exploratory voyage to spread your teachings, you feel a substantial increase in their Worship Quality.

Azem admires the shire for a few minutes before transforming into a chipped coin.
*shrine?

Azem: The priestess and guards look in shock at you in the form of a chipped coin. They hide the diamonds away and add the option of being in the same room as the Prince of Avarice for an exorbitant fee.

Kli praises all the Hummingbirds on a job well done. He tells them that should a problem of extreme magnitude arise, they should only sing a song of calling together for him to receive their message. With that, he disappears.

Azem: The priestess shakes her head and says "Yes, some do, We have a few houses carved in for them, but they prefer living by the trees with their strange moss. A few of them are out with some of ours looking for other talking creatures for more trading."

Azem: The priestess thinks for a second and says "You mean the dragon with the shiny accent? Yes, I actually did a week or so ago. He had plenty of golden shinies he said were given by Your Greediness to trade and I may or may not have traded away some of the Shrine shinies for his shinies. He spoke a lot about the teachings of Your Shininess and getting a mate. He may have been a bit annoying as dragons go, but he sure knew how to get a mate."

Kli: The Hummingbirds have sent two equally sized scouting teams of approximately equal speeds in opposite directions to search for large trees or talking creatures. They have not yet found anyone or any comfortably large trees.

(Would you like to suggest a race to encounter?)

Kli (still hidden), leads them to a small village of Luminees. He also helps them in finding a few clusters of tall trees that would react favorably to any songs of growth.

Kli: One Hummingbird party makes contact with a small village of Luminees. They exchange greetings and discuss their creators and homes. A few Luminees seem interested in your teachings just as a few Hummingbirds are interested in The Light's. The Luminees are surprised to hear that they live so close to a wonder made directly by a god (the local Tree of Balance) and express their interest in visiting it. Of course, the Luminees cannot fly. What should this party of Hummingbirds do?

Two other Hummingbird parties find suitable clusters of magically reactive tall trees. They unpack and begin singing a song of growth and strength. Their intense Belief combined with the magical reactivity of the trees actually allows them to grow in the span of a few minutes to more comfortable sizes. Both parties send messengers back to their home trees to spread the news and the rest spend the next few days constructing nests around the tree. Although there are no convenient flower-filled clearings, this region of forest contains enough nectar-producing trees to sustain a few families of Hummingbirds.

The last Hummingbird party has reached the coastline but still has not found any sign of civilization or sufficiently tall and reactive trees. What should they do?

(Also, I just noticed that there isn't a language barrier between or inside any of the races. It's probably not a big deal anyway.)

Azem:
"I don't know. Usually, it's our traders that find dragons in their caves along the way. This is actually the first time a dragon approached us without advance notice."

(It has not been long enough for languages to evolve. Presumably, the sapients are speaking Godstongue (Divli? - short for 'divine linguistics'), the language of the gods and the only language to exist yet. Does this make sense?)

Kli (still hidden) influences the Humminbirds who have met the Luminess to allow those who wish to visit the Trees to fly with them, using songs of the gentle yet powerful wind to carry them.

He also influences the last Hummingbird party to realize the need of remembering their surroundings for the future, hopefully leading the Hummingbirds to find a proper way of "mapping" the areas far from home creatively.

(That may be true, but keep in mind that a tick of time is poorly defined.)

The Luminees are carried back to the local Tree to meet the main assembly of Hummingbirds. They exchange stories, food, and rumors over the course of a few days, and some Luminees ask to stay with the Hummingbirds. A few more Hummingbirds wishing to stay with the Luminees for a time return the remainder of the Luminees back to their village. Life for the Luminees at the Tree of Balance is rather difficult.

The empty-handed party returns to their Tree--an easy feat, considering the fact that they basically flew in a straight line--and report on the shores and the salty water and the soft ground. They explain the need for some method of recording a flight path for complex routes in the future, and many villagers discuss different solutions to the problem. The recently returned party describes a tree with long yellow fruit with broad, flat leaves and proposes puncturing holes in the leaves to mark landmarks.

"Hm. I do believe I business to attend to. Farewell."

Azem finds the nearest Mountwyrm trade caravan and guides them to the Tree of Balance.

(I don't even remember which world the Piece of Eight is on, if it was ever even defined.)
The Mountwyrms trade caravan sends two scouts to fly over the forest surrounding the Tree of Balance to plot a practical course. Some hungry Gruen sample various fruits, and the caravan holds multiple fruit-based feasts for the five days it takes for the scouts to return. They continue on their journey and eventually arrive at the base of the Tree and are greeted warmly by the Hummingbirds. The caravan proceeds to set up shop at the base of the Tree, hoping to see what crafts and goods the Hummingbirds produce.

(I guess you could define it now if you liked. You could even say both, although it might make more sense to specify one.)

Artisanii checks on how his Muses are doing.
The Muses seem to be carving icons, forging trinkets, painting cliffs, sculpting rocky outcrops, weaving clothing, cutting tiles, firing pots, engraving clay, playing games where they pretend to be gods, polishing the statue/shrine, rehearsing comedies, and various other creative pursuits. They are not the most organized race, but they do produce a lot of interesting works.
