Anath hums and eyes the voting gods. "For one to be so worried about hidden actions... what have you all been up to I wonder?"

Anath doesn't expect it to slow down or decrease the chances of hidden actions at all...

Azem obtains a copy by posing as a human.
(You are a god. You could've just magicked yourself up a book at no Essence cost. Or just asked someone for one because, again, you are a god. Besides it's not like it's banned to non-humans or anything, it's just that the Emperor is focused on distributing books to human settlements rather than non-human settlements. He might charge money to non-humans because they might as well be fiction novels to them but again, YOU ARE A GOD, and more than that, you are a god of MONEY. You could have just magicked yourself some money at NO Essence cost, like you always do.)

A young gentleman who worships both Cim and Yaos is walking home one day when he hears someone call the Gem Dragons "tosspots". When he asks why they're "tosspots" he's told how they're all untrustworthy scum. When the young gentleman asks why he thinks that he's told by the man about how they agreed to fight the Gruen on their side in exchange for shinies, but then took off with the shinies without fighting. The young gentleman eventually goes home and thinks about his experience until he goes to sleep.

The next day, the young gentleman walks by a poor family begging on the streets. The word of Yaos dictates that helping those less fortunate than yourself is a good thing to do so he does. He buys them bread and asks why they are out begging on the street when they could go to a poorhouse and receive free food and shelter. The mother responds by explaining that the poor house is at capacity and that the it does not have the money necessary to expand. The young gentleman eventually goes home and thinks about his experience until he goes to sleep.

A couple of days afterwards, the young gentleman is off to buy a nice trinket for a girl he hopes to woo. While perusing the wares of a shop he overhears a girl say wistfully "Oh how I wish I was a Gem Dragon." Confused, the young gentleman approaches the girl and asks about why she wants to be a Gem Dragon. You see my dear friends, this young gentleman thinks that Gem Dragons are called such because they have shiny scales that shine as bright as stars, and live their lives in caves like hermits, that they may hide their beauty from the world. The girl then educates the young gentleman on Gem Dragons and how they live in caves with hoards of gold and silver and gems and other shinies, and that they constantly seek to add to their wealth. The young gentleman eventually goes home and thinks very hard about his experience until he goes to sleep.

The next morning, the young gentleman decides to do something. You see, he has been brought up to believe in righteousness, generosity, kindness, and rule of law. What he has heard about the Gem Dragons is the antithesis of all these things he has been brought up to believe. They steal money, they never give it freely, they look upon the faces of the poor and scoff, and they get away with it. Thinking on this the young gentleman prays to Yaos of Humans and Cim the Lawgiver to bless him for his journey he is about to take. He is going to go to the highest authority of Gem Dragons and demand on behalf of the Empire of Man that they repay humanity for the shinies they stole.

Yaos sends the third angel to watch over and protect this young gentleman.

This young gentleman, who is the first lawyer.

Tick 14.5, Day 14: Vindictiveness and Vengeance

Azem has answered the prayers of a few mortals. Here is what they have to say:
Piece-Pilgrim: "Thank you, Lord Azem! I hope they will still accept shinies."
Worried Mountwyrm: "If you say so, Goldfather."
Uncertain Mountwyrm: "Really? Is it true that we can honor you simply by our striving?"
Azem has also chosen the form of an emerald gem dragon for future appearances.

The Light has suggested that the residents of Lichterloh, the village of nightmares, spread the fine examples of their art to human towns and contemplate the divine. Artisanii has commented favorably on the indigenous art of horror acting.

Serac: You create a massive warded citadel on the open ocean on Keshan with a capacity of 1 000 island turtles and a year's worth of supplies.. Almost immediately, jelly roll trees begin growing in and around it. You have also created the bubble spren. They will help break up the silence.

Yaos has created the Shadow Realm, a location for storing evil worshippers of Yaos. Strangely enough, mimes are not considered sufficiently evil to warrant the Shadow Realm. This is possibly a conspiracy of some sort. Regardless, a human worshipper of Graanglipechozhrih, Sage of ephemerality, has caused some controversy regarding the scope of 12.01 and its coverage of Void Things. This has spread into a controversy about gods eavesdropping on each other's answers to prayers in the Council.

Anath: You check your creations for Void cults. It appears that their relative isolation has also prevented them from knowing much of the Void and being touched by it. Anath has also finished and released several hundred Star Squid into the oceans of both worlds. They have been confirmed to be free of the Void's influence.

Kli has advised an impatient Hummingbird about true Balance. Kli explains that Balance is difficult to define and that attaining it is an active process. and has blessed the mortal with godly patience and widsom.

(Yaos: If you're drawing from WH40K for your inquisitors, they're quite brutal. Even knowing about Chaos is pretty much enough for summary execution.)

Azem: The Mountwyrms have started a School of Greed in their capital. Much like the other Schools, most of the education is transmitted by oral means.

Cim appears to have trapped Tykki in the Plane of Order and Law. The efforts of Fusil, Azem, Yaos, and Anath were sufficient to free Tykki, but it appears that Cim's goal was simply to elicit a strong, negative response. Cim argues that this action is merely a reaction to the more harmful things the other gods have done. The other gods do not seem to appreciate the example.

The Yaos have ordered their prophets to write a book about the doctrine of Yaos for each sphere on each world. They proceed to do so. In an attempt to obtain a copy, Azem has obtained a copy by posing as a human. They have also created a lawyer.

Yaos has created a very special part-angel human bound to Keshan with a cumulative memory. Unfortunately, the act sends Yaos down to 1 Essence, and Yaos is now dormant until further Essence income arrives.

This update's dominant constellations are the Hammer and Lady.

Artisanii holds a public Contest, announcing it to the Artists at his Shrine via the Inspheration. If the mortals can make a painting that can impress even the best of Muses and even Artisanii himself, they will be rewarded.

Anath will oppose 14.02 because he holds the right to interact with his own creations privately, which this seems to forbid. And he'll oppose 14.01 as well because that seems exceedingly overkill.

"I oppose proposal 14.01. That would indeed be overkill in most cases. In the cases it wouldn't be, the Council can apply even more power than that, if we don't restrict it with a standard punishment."

Anath looks up from where he is preparing to create his next creation. "The Code of Conduct I suggested was for interactions between us, who exist on this plane and have made this world. If the Void Ones wish to be part of it, and protected by it, then they should openly show themselves to us and agree to being a member of this council like we are."

Anath also checks his creations, the Star Elves, Termitia, and Star Dragons for Void Cults.

Hmm almost missed this. Interesting point. Perhaps we should clarify through the council who these rules apply to and protect. Otherwise it leaves the issue of whether or not the Void Cultists are protected by the council rather iffy.

I propose we clarify that the rules of the council only apply to gods within the bubble.

Anath will oppose 14.02 because he holds the right to interact with his own creations privately, which this seems to forbid. And he'll oppose 14.01 as well because that seems exceedingly overkill.
Agreed on all accounts
And oppose 14.00; there's no way to actually uphold an eavesdropping clause if you do it in front of everyone.

Check on the prophet. What is he doing what is he working on.

Check on the mime.

Create sparkling gems called Zrathli of high wealth spread them everywhere and advise people to seek such diamonds.

The Light nods at Greed
