In less shitposty news, I've decided to abandon my previous game idea because I'm too salty about it. Right now I'm leaning towards something about the PCs being aliens investigating a mysterious Precursor facility. It's mysterious because it's massive and bends the laws of reality, so obviously it has a ton of legends associated with it. Stuff like 'if you get to the center all of your wishes will come true' and things like that, which explains why everyone wants to explore it. The setting will obviously be soft sci-fi, so more 'rayguns and rockets' than 'explosive decompression and sadness'. _{Which means that monstergrills are allowed in spirit, because hot alien babes are a fundamental part of 'rayguns and rockets' settings. This is science fact.}

Thoughts? It'll have a bit of combat and lots of exploration and puzzle solving so everyone should be happy. I just have to think of some way to make a hint system that ties into the setting instead of being GM fiat. _{My first thoughts involved J-Pop idols stuck in an infinite time loop but that was a little bit too silly, even for me.}

I could do that in this new idea though. Which would make just as much sense because 'soft sci-fi aliens'. It would just have less build-up, a lighter tone and far less saltiness from me. I fail to see what the problem is.
