I've been thinking of starting a new one after I forgot about my old one . Ive always wanted to run a Feng Sui game, maybe test out 2 in PBP. I've also been thinking about making a Jojo game, but would need to either work out the mechanics or steal them from somewhere ;P.

I think I would be interested in Feng Shui. Though my Chinese action movie knowledge is probaly not up to spec.

There is plenty of inspiration from western action movies too, as long as you do whatever you think is cool you would be fine .

I would personally recommend anime, because that is the kind of person I am . Anime like Cowboy Bedop and Trigun get the general feel right. The Matrix is a Hollywood film with similar style you probably already saw. The classics are always good, and anything by John Woo is a classic. Hard Boiled and The Killer are recommended in the game book. For the more punchy and less shooty parts, the book recommends Jackie Chan (generally sillier, with some more serious stories), Tsui Hark for wire-fu style fights alongside some sword play, Jet Li is another punchy guy, Ringo Lam is another shooty director with a darker edge...The Filmography section is five pages long, with a fairly long list of recommended titles in it. Any specific thing you were looking for in a character?

I suppose it depends on the setting. Judging from the wiki-page, it looks like the default is contemporary, ie. 1996? The first thing that comes to mind is a Kung Fury rip-off, but I don't know how well the character could hold up for a full game.
I guess I really don't know enough to be able to articulate what I don't know. I'll dive into the book and come up with some more ideas. Which edition are you thinking about using?

Feng Shui 2 edition 1.1. I was a kickstarter backer and never got the chance to use it . As for the setting, the current idea is that the villain is hopping around pop up junctures recruiting various bad guys from all over history while the heroes go to the places he was mucking about to fix everything. The first would be a western setting, but the heroes could be from any juncture (and would probably mainly be from the contemporary one). I'd get into more detail, but I really need to finish some homework .
