We need numbers to hold/slow him as long as possible and hope reinforcements arrive in time.

I still think we ought to have an option to negotiate at this juncture. The expedition lost, they pursued, we stood our ground at our border. Time to declare a peace: everybody back to where you were only without Houlandin I, who apparently became mad with power and bloodlust after living in his father's shadow for so long.

I don't think they're out to annex Methiant as they are in Eval's case, just to kick our asses hard enough to give us no other choice but to give Eval up. We are going to lose this fight, but since the Crown Prince can't be in two places at once unless some serious GM bullshit is thrown our way, the Evalian prong of the campaign is still in play, and if they don't manage to grab Eval in the process we might get away with not handing it over to them.

Once again, the Lametanians are beaten back! There has been casualties amongst your men of course, quite a few indeed, and your officers aren't sure they can mantain equal fighting against the enemy.

A week later, report from the north; the Cydwyl forces are here! Eight thousand soldiers have arrived, a third of them mounted. They're led by some generals and officers, but no one from the royal family arrived to help. The officers mention however that another three thousand could be mustered by King Erik, if needed, but that will take some time.

As for the course of war...

A) Now we have enough men to split our forces between Eval and Methiant!
B) Onwards, into Lametania, to crush the enemy!
C) Maybe we should negotiate.

As for extra reinforcements...

A) Sure, the more the merrier!
B) Nah, let's keep them for later.

I simply don’t understand how those guys works, they shouldn’t be able to do one tenth of what they are doing right now, Rucus and the Damdamians should have pulled back long to get back to their civil war or because of economical collapse and we absolutely shouldn’t be in numerical inferiority when they cut their Armies in two to deal with Evalian they had 11 thousands men in the battle against Houlandin and they lost a lot of men in this battle, we had 8000 mens before we sent reinforcemen, they cut their Armies to deal with the Evalians... I just... what the hell is wrong with this? It make zero sense...
