Even if you could DFHack a clown to be tame, I wouldn't be surprised if the issue with tame megabeasts still being targeted by militia would affect them as well.

Ill go fifty fifty odds they might not as a semi-megabeast because dragons are also semi-megabeasts but don't suffer the same issue as full megabeasts to be tamed (though with egg states its never quite fully)

Ill have to trawl over the string dump or something but im sure they aren't especially special in that regard.
