On a calm desert embark, trade goods in my cart,
Warm smell of horses, given me from the start.
Up ahead in the map edge, I saw a few herding yaks,
I'd not brought food and I'd not brought seeds,
I had to hunt for snacks.
Hunter stood doing nothing,
Did he hunt? The answer's no.
And I was talking to myself,
"Wheres my bolts, and where's my bow?"
Then I changed my approach, set up Plant Gathering,
Made a tavern on a meeting-zone,
Half the dorfs then started to sing.
Welcome to the Fortress Celobfongbez,
You have struck the earth (You have struck the earth)
With your dwarves of worth!
Plenty of room at the Fortress Celobfongbez,
Thank you RNG (Thank you RNG)
That's "Roofpungency"
One dwarf gets craftwise-twisted, she picks a secretive mood,
She has a lot of petty, pretty needs, like logs of wood.
Good job you still had embarked, with a battleaxe,
No elves to dismember, fell trees to the max.
So I called up the Brewer
"Please brew me some wine."
He said, "We haven't got no barrels here. Apart from that, that's fine!"
And still those needs are falling, so unfulfilled,
All round the evaporatin' murky pool,
Idle dwarves just milled.
Welcome to the Fortress Celobfongbez,
You have struck the earth (You have struck the earth)
With your dwarves of worth!
They livin' it up at the Fortress Celobfongbez,
We need water first (We need water first)
To slake our thirst.
Vomit on the surface,
Remains of vermin underground.
And she said "There are no cut gems here, they can't be found!"
And in the manager's chambers,
You assigned all the jobs,
To take the things that miners found,
And make all the thingamabobs.
Next time I'll remember,
Better prepare the embark,
"I'll have to pack the wagon up much better", I remark.
"Relax," says Toady One,
"It is *programmed* to aggrieve.
You can save-out any time you like,
But you can never leave!"
With apologies for a little dodgy scansion, at times.
