"If you promise not to exert yourself unnecessarily, if you agree to be the Thirteenth Crusader, and if you promise to report to the Crusader General afterwards and do whatever she says, then... yes, you can join the operation tomorrow in a support role."

I think he needs this.

yes
Get the medics to waiver Eric’s leave of health
If he can lift 500 to 600 pounds, he’s probably ready, not to mention he’s walking and moving now. He seems to be healing fast

There was a Messiah of old Terra... a Nazarene. A Hebrew. He led a peaceful life, with some few disciples under his name... and it was said that miracles followed his every footstep. The Romans slew him, and it was said that he rose from his tomb-- that he rent the bonds of Hades, and brought about a new era for his people. His creed would endure for millennia. Half the world swore by his name.

His creed was this, Phoenix-of-Sol:
he was of two natures.
He was God and man.
He was human-- and he was divine.
A paradox. A triumph.
A savior.

ΙΗΣΟΥΣ - ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ - ΝΙΚΑ

...

...such is the way of a Messiah.
Are you human, Phoenix-of-Sol?

I...I want to be. I want to be human. I used to be human. Maybe I can still be...I have concerns about Eric's health. He is no ascended, despite his willpower. He's still fragile, and weak. If you wish him to, I will let him come with us. May I make a recommendation? Have him run. One mile, full sprint. That's half of what a Crusader is required to do to not get kicked out...

"Do you think you can run a mile at a full sprint without stopping? If so, show me."

[7-5] Eric stares at you in silence, then, taking to the track at the edge of the room, he begins to sprint at full speed-- he makes it roughly halfway before he collapses, coughing heavily as his lungs start to fail him. Every breath is a ragged gasp of pain, broken by wet, bloody coughs.

[15] He tries to drag himself forward with his hands instead -- and you send a radio message to a null to send a medic up as he eventually gives in to another violent coughing fit. Blood saturates his bandages, dripping to the ground below as his wounds are aggravated.

"I-I can do it. I can...I can do it." He murmurs through his gritted teeth, staring forward with manic intensity.

[11] "In your current state you're liable to get others killed when they try and save you, Eric." You pronounce, gently, breathing out a sigh as you watch him curl in on himself in pain and in shame.

"I'm sorry, Eric. You're not there yet. Rest and recover, and when you're feeling better, report to the Crusader General. I believe in you. You can still become the Thirteenth Crusader in time."

To your people, a god. To those who know you best, now and forever human.
Your cohesion improved just now. You're recovering. I am pleased.

...I suppose...

You kneel down, hefting Eric up even as he grumbles and protests. A medic arrives, too late to assist, but she tries her best. After you deposit Eric into his bed to suffer their tender mercies, you wipe the blood from your coat, watching as they change his bandages. As an aside, you question one of them about how long it will take him to heal.

"A few months, at the least. I don't think he'll have to worry much about physical therapy, but its a concern, to be sure."

With a nod, you leave them to their work, stretching yourself out and returning to your quarters.

You have four hours before the beginning of your mission. How would you like to spend your time?

If possible at this hour and practical, send a message to Steelworks 9 requesting that they swear fealty to Phoenix-of-Sol and ask for information on their manufacturing capacity.

Let’s train Inferno and Silicon Manipulation somewhere open so we don’t damage things

It'd be useful to get a little silicon manipulation in, if we've nothing more pressing... I think we're alright for Inferno though. That's something best trained on the field.

If possible at this hour and practical, send a message to Steelworks 9 requesting that they swear fealty to Phoenix-of-Sol and ask for information on their manufacturing capacity.

Do we wish to make the name of our Line known to our people at this time? If we're ready for that, so be it-- but it's not a thing to simply drop in passing.
Other than that, +1

One last thing: we should try and check in with Emma at some point. We're leaving the fortress come morning-- she'll want a word in the matter.

Alright, so Train silicon manipulation, ask Steelworks 9 for assistance in manufacturing, and tell Emma what we’re doing
Did I get this right?

Something like that, aye. Not necessarily in that order.
