Wish I could have made it, but a family emergency (grandfather had a heart attack) cropped up and I found myself waiting in an ER instead.  :(

At least everything is OK with my grandfather now.  Glad to hear you all had a good time.

Dammit.  So I too appear to have succumbed to the illness.  I have a splitting headache and my throat is all raspy and gross feeling.  Thanks a lot.

:edit: good news is I might be able to stay home and play dwarf fortress...

Ditto that.  Considering the first two meetups, I'm guessing it may become a fixture for May/June.  Unless the Adams brothers decide to start traveling to other countries...

Maybe we can get some people down to Ape Cave (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ape_Cave) in the southwestern Washington area...  I unhesitantly would Embark to this region.  Plus, isn't there something poetic about playing DF on a laptop while actually underground?

No food, beverages, alcohol or littering – These items attract animals and bacteria that do not belong in the cave. Food and litter decompose at an extremely slow rate in the cool temperatures of cave ecosystems.

Eh oh... Since the productivity of Dwarf Fortress development was down 80% at this gathering, I'll have to remove the table from this room, you are no longer allowed to have parties, at whichever furniture you could find.

And no, tantrums are explicitly forbidden too from happening.
