When you kill important figures...
« on: August 11, 2009, 11:18:46 pm »

Such as Guild Leaders, Rulers and other group-leader types, do new people rise to take their place?
I'm asking because I've been making adventureres for the sole purpose of wiping all leading figures off the face of the planet in a series of suicide hammer-runs.

And these are not the hammer!

or at least keep it vague.

Also, since time is pretty much stopped in adventure mode (things stop happening) it probably won't happen while you're playing, but if you do some fortress mode for a while it might.

Son, don't get me started. I could say, do and show you things that would peel the skin off your eyes and rot the sanity from your brain.

I just happen to respect the rules of this place

Uncontrolled flame wars spawned off such topics forced the removal of VN.

People who carelessly derail and discuss a consistant topic close forums. It just happens that *some* topics have a horrible record of less than 5% of all discussions leading to such issues.

So, for your own good, and the good of DF Adventure Mode Discussion, please refrain from going off into those things. If you do too often, DFAMD will follow VN into oblivion.

Dick jokes make fellow posters rather testy to various lengths. You have balls to erect such an attempt. It's been extended to us that you care not what seeds of emotion spill within this chasm of communication and wit.

In the end, you tend to sell yourself short. Flame wars can burn, but only if one is foolish to be near the source of the fire. So please, leave this asset of ours alone.

The rules, official or unofficial, are based on American ethics.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

See, now that is vague enough to be both funny and not against the rules.

American media ethics. Which is to say: no sex, just violence. :)

If anyone here hasn't figured it out, the Americans HATE elves.

I hate both Americans AND elves. But if the enemy of my enemy is my friend, who is my friend and who is my enemy?

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

I think Americans are worse.
Side with the elves.
Definitely the lesser of two evils.
Teach them how to use magma to make metal without burning trees while you're at it. Then they'll be able to actually do something useful. Instead of using crappy wooden weapons.

Okay that was pretty good.  I laughed.
