Nupe. My laptop just has a slightly weird screen size. :P
Or maybe I'm wrong and it's something else.

1360x768 is just a regular widescreen. Nothing weird going on.

Spoiler: Cmega3's Turf (click to show/hide)
Composed at least 15% of roguelikes (including DF) and 35% of folders.
Bonus: Guess which computer brand I use?

Xeno-win?

Mind sharing what that is? It sounds quite intriguing.

DF is cpu-based I think, and non-multithreaded for the most part.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

As has been established elsewhere one of the lesser known but immensely important bottlenecks for df is the speed of RAM.

+1. I go much more DF horsepowers when I OC'd my RAM.

Shutting down half of my i7 and overclocking the other half also helped alot.

And how do I OC my RAM, good sir?

Make sure you got cooling. Not all RAMs can be oc'd but it's worth a shot.

Doesn't making your RAM even the tiniest bit (heh) faster cause instability?

For the less experienced it is safer to just buy faster RAM, of course provided that the price is not an issue, but I don't think anyone who owns an alienware computer is short in money to spend on computer parts.

The second important point is to check if your CPU supports the faster RAM. If you overclock your RAM to more than what is supported by the CPU you will run into the mentioned instability issues.

Why would you bother having the EQ visible if you're just going to leave it flat? At least give it a little more bass or something.

Found two neat wallpapers, but both of them were 16:12. I had to crop them, which always makes me very sad. In one case it was all for naught anyway, since the top of Asuka's head was cut off by the toolbar:
