Ottofar, you've been pretty quiet recently. Are you planning to run VM4 soon? Or would you mind if someone else does? There don't seem to be games open for signups at the moment.

Eduren, from your options, I'd like EBYOR2, though I don't recall the first one. I miss the BYOR nuttiness.

Opened.

I'm throwing the Mountainous up for signups tomorrow maybe.

What I want to do with it is turn it into a few things.

  • A segue from Beginners Mafia into the more competitive mafia.
  • A place for people that want the "Pure" mafia experience so they can battle wits
  • A place for people to hone their skills. Whether they're rusty or just want to be a better player.
  • A place for people to repair their attendance ranking. If they can stay active in this game, they get a bonus to their rank (exact amount to be worked out with webby)

Now, I'm not sure how well those goals coincide, so if you expect us to run into problems, let me know.

I'm also having trouble figuring out what to call it (As always :P). I'm kinda hesitant to call it NSBM because mine seems to have a different purpose than the original. Any suggestions? Intermediate Mafia? Skills Mafia?

Oooh, I know! "The Dakarian Memorial Academy for players that want to Better Themselves", DMA for short.

Plain Mafia

Or, if you want it to be more dramatic, Mafia on a Plain

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

By the way, dudes: I am about to revamp the Signboard so that stuff is mod-run.  I'll keep you updated.

I disagree -- larger games are having a hard time to fill up, as we can see from frickin' Paranormal, which I expected would be full in less than 48hrs. Plus more players gives the lurkers a better screen (no wonder why you like that, Org, damn you). I say nine is right, but just two scum.

I, too, agree on going with 9p more often now.

We need just one more for the DMA.  Does anyone care to join?

(Not me, I'm weighed down by enough work to kill an elephant)

Yeah, I'm also pretty busy. Things should start to slow down pretty soon though.

Folks!

There is what appears to be a neat Lost-themed Semi-Bastard Mod (closed roles, very, very mild) running over at xkcd.  I am signed up.  They require more players.  They also do not have the same daily posting restrictions we do... Warning, however, for enormosity.  It's a 27-player game, though to be honest, their games are a lot slower and people post one hell of a lot less.  So their large games are typically much easier to handle than pPick was, or even most of the Paranormals.

Anyway, hope to see some of you dudes there.  I would be an even-more-cheerful Vector.
