Never really listened to them. I told you, I have absolutely no real musical background. I like bands if I hear one song that I think is good.

So far, that BFMV song linked by Widerman is the second of theirs I've heard and I quite like the music, if not the lyrics or video so since I've heard two decent songs from them, I like them. I probably wouldn't know it was them singing it if I ever heard it again though.

sabbath is great! i'm still mourning dio , he was so much better than ozzy. Sabbaths' main strength was it's guitars, tough, even today it sounds unique and original, i value that above all

maiden on the other hand...they're a bit boring in my opinion. i used to like 'em, but never loved them much and now i can't stand them

Now then... Advice back, based on what you got, but has some credibility :Static-X, Body Count, Tiamat, some hed PE (just the harder stuff), and after that soft ballad stuff go listen to Sepultura, Pantera, and one day you might be ready for Slayer. Remember all, 6th of June is International Slayer Day.

I meant old school aggressive ugly Black Metal.
Endstille must be my favourite Ugly Aggressive Black Metal band ever.
That being said early Dimmu Borgir is also very enjoyable.
(Also, don't take the Nargaroth guy to seriously. No, really)
