For some bizarre reason LNP won't start up on my PC.
I'm running Windows XP SP3 and have .net Framework installed so i really can't see the problem.
It just loads for a moment and then nothing.
Anybody got a solution ?

Are you sure you have .NET 3.5? You need it exactly, even 4 won't work...

I don't typically pack everything, so I feel pretty uncomfortable adding the stuff in. DFhack is a special case in adding, since afaik you don't just "add an .exe"...

Sounds to me like your executing the game from within the zip file, without unpacking/ extracting the files to your hard drive.  Whats the path to LazyNewbPack.exe, heres mine;
C:\Program Files\LazyNewbPack\LazyNewbPack.exe

I hope that some one might be able to help me. I greatly enjoy using lazynewb. I has made playing DF more  enjoyable if not easier to play. But this is my problem. My eyesight is going bad so I was hoping that some one might now of a graphic pack that is bigger and easier to see. I like using Phoebus and Ironhand. but the 16X16 is just getting to hard to see  now. I hope that maybe some one could adapt one of those two to something a bit bigger.

Unfortunately, there's a limit to how big the tiles in DF can be because there's a minimum number of them that DF is willing to pack into the screen. That said, you can use the mouse wheel to zoom in until you reach the max.

That's the boat, I am in.  I tried most of the large graphic tilesets in the WIKI repository.

My eyesight isn't so good.  TTF gives me a real problem.  Good luck.  Knutor

This could work.

It'll allow you to have your virtual screen size, and thus DF, larger than normal.

Off-topic, but one trick with aging eyes is to make sure to buy displays with bigger pixels.  A 27-28" display with 1920x1080 pixels has a pixel size of about 0.31mm for $260-$350.  That's a lot larger then the older 0.22-0.25mm pixels of the smaller displays.

You can even go with displays designed for TVs, those typically have pixel sizes in the 0.45-0.85mm range.  But you're going to be looking at display sizes of 32-36" for a 1080p panel and cost will be about $450-$600.

I've went to ASCII, and Guybrush's 16x16.  I'd use 20x20, if I could get that resolution to work.

@wuphonsreach, great advice.  Worth taking to the bank.  I would sooner go the route of buying a new monitor than putting trifocals in these lenses.  Wish my health provider would cover a larger monitor expense, like they do glasses.

@Japa, thanx!  That tip, right there, made me look up how to link two monitors and use both at same time to increase size of my desktop.  I used to backup an engineer's system on a Temp to Fire job.  And he had this really nice panoramic display, which spread across three monitors.  I wonder if that is how Toady plays.

DF could be really intersting spread across more than one monitor or projected onto a flat white ceiling.  Knutor

Japa. I will take a look at what you posted. as for the other suggestions. not possible. I do not have the money to buy a new monitor. Hell I can not even go the the eye doctor to get new glasses. IF I had the money to buy a new monitor, I would have to use the money to go to the eye doctor  and get new glasses. and for me the glasses would be 2/3s the cost of a new screen. The reason why my glasses cost so much is that I can not have them made out of anything other than glass. and I am already wearing bifocals. :(

Ohhh, I'll have to take a look at this and not just for DF.  Stupid 1024x600 resolution on netbooks can get really really really annoying at times.

Start Menu>Search for "magnify" <enter>

Change zoom, and dock position.  It's part of Microsoft ease of access tools, and in most of their OS.  I use it to get a closer look at camgirls.. Ooops!  Did I just say that?  *blush* Knutor
