There's a typo in the LNP Executable. Specifically, the mouse-over text for Aquifers.

"Oh, they just output infinite water and flood you're entire fort."

It's one of the numerous jokes and puns.
It'll probably be fixed soon, since it seems to annoy a lot of folks.  :-\

You are the entire fort.

I'm not really sure whether this bug happens because of this package, since I started using this right when I got into adventurer mode.

Anyway, whenever my adventure mode session lasts longer than 15 minutes, letters will start disappearing seemingly at random. They don't flicker, and it's kind of annoying to read about whatever might be happening. Has anyone experienced this, or has this been solved already?
I'm using the latest pack, with Phoebus' Tileset.

This happens in fortress mode also. The current workaround is F12 (toggles true type).

Ah, F12 fixes it indeed. You have my thanks :)

So I was going to go do an update now that DFHack is out, but I was honestly expecting updates for like.... more things by now. So I'll probably hold off for now.
Really, those who really want DFHack, you just need to download it from the thread
Just extract the files into the Dwarf Fortress folder (say YES to overwrite any files)

And yes. Maybe one day the GUI buttons will change and also have useful tooltips.

All your're entire fort are belong to you.

While Its not a bad idea, I feel like it would require quite a bit more work for me then I'd be willing to dedicate, and It would take me some time to figure out how to even do as well. I'll play with the idea but I don't think its likely unless someone else does the work.

I'm working on something that will help with that. :P

Basically, you would just "install" a modpack... >.>

That's just wonderful, keep us updated if you can.
Since It's related to the Lazy pack you can probably post here too ;)

I gave Masterwork a try for its FPS increasing claims. However I found that I'm not ready for all the new !!FUN!! as I still have enough trouble getting started with the original version.  A reduction in non-essential items and varieties of things would be nice to try out.

That's what we're taking about. "Optimisation" modifications only.

After getting frustrated with the Mac version, I decided to just run the game in Parallels. It runs well in that, but uses about 50% more CPU than it used to and causes the laptop to run hotter. I installed 0.34.11 and DFHack and the improved Dwarf Therapist (the v16 with the extras, don't remember what it is called) manually and it works.

However, I'm excited to use this Lazy Newb pack instead once it comes with DFHack as I'd love to try some of the other things that are included, and being able to try a few of these interesting, popular mods sounds good too!

Thanks...

I am sick of vampires.  >:(
Please try to find a solution to turn them off with the LNP GUI.
