Year will take a bit more than expected. I'l do everything I can to finish it before weekend.
Failpump is almost done, I just need to instal pumps (60 or so), remove all of the stones (huge pile of them) and get wood for axles and water wheels (lots of it). Fortunately, I have found a good spot to get into one of the caves. There is quite a lot of trees (shrooms?) in there, and only 2-5 FBs.
BTW, someone left some FB extract in one of the corridors. Two miners have damaged sensory nerves thanks to this stuff. (Okay, it might have been hard to remove it, but you could at least leave a note or wall it off...)

well i'm sorry i had no idea it was THAT pile of extract that made everyone numb to shit
No, seriously. I thought it was a random FB that got killed because only the military got that syndrome.

Well, I neutralized it*, so it shouldn't be a problem anymore. I'm only wondering why was it only in that one spot in one corridor.
*By removing all of the stairs that were less than 5 squares away
EDIT: I have a question:
If secretive dwarf  demands "stacked cloth", he requires specyfic type of cloth (yarn, plant...) or any cloth?
And how can I check which type he wants?

If you have what he requires he will go and get it. That is all you can do. So if you have plant cloth and silk cloth, but continues to ask for stacked cloth he doesn't want those.

3 months left, and dwarfs didn't even dumped all of the stone in the Failpump. I need more time.

Why not just leave it to the magma?

Invariably some of it is magma safe.

Leave a note and hope that the next overseer allows the removal to continue.

Why would you need to remove all the stone? Just hide it, it's not like it actually prevents anything.

So we got monsters above, monsters below, dwarves in the middle and a party in the dining hall. Sounds good to me.
If all else fails, remember one thing:  kittens are delicious, nutritious little goblin-baiters, cavern explorers, and ambush-finders.

Even if I would do so (and I propably will), I still don't have enough time to get enough wood for the water wheels.

Well, build the pump stack to completion/hide the stone and mark where the water wheels have to be placed.

2 months left, 82 dwarfs, almost no wood (thus no waterwheels) and most of the pumps (both in the reactor and the Failpump itself) are not built yet.
I can give the save after finishing Obsidian, but I ask for another year or half anyway. One error while building the Failpump and the whole base gets flooded with pressurized !!Fun!!.

I'd rather see it done right, then see it passed off and done wrong.
