Nope, the last winner gets to choose the new winner.
Which I presume would be Darker, right?

Even if he did not participate this round? Man! The guy is good! :)

Well the winner doesn't have to participate in the next round other than to decide who the next winner is.

Or so I understood it.

But I'm just watching this like a hawk without participating anyway...

DarkerDark has been PM'ed.

I guess we play the waiting game.

Edit: If anyone knows DarkerDark's favourite food, we could put some in a clearing and lie in wait to see if it draws him in.

I love when you decide to review everything Darker  :P
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

On a completly slightly unrelated note I would like to point out that -to avoid confusion- Headhangers round was a bonus round, right?

Which means that this week Darker's beast is the "official entry",

and that at the end of this particular challange he will also be the person declaring a winner.
This is necessary to get the thread back on track (I might add that I could possibly have been the cause of this slight derailment), if however Darker would choose to let Ice pick the next winner due to some sort of "fairness aspect" I don't belive it would cause any further problems.
I hope everyone agrees with me on this topic as it is my outmost belief that this is the simplest route to get everything back in sync. :)

Icecold's Dadi the Pulpi Deep
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I think the bit I like here the most is the tails, particularly the shading on the stingers. Also, notice how the near tail is reflected in the far tail's near side. Fantastic.

Congratulations Icecold. A well-deserved victory!

Lobsters are not the easiest crustaceans to draw. But Nuglush is pretty cool, so I had to have a go at it.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I'm still not happy with the caverns, but oh well. I wanted to put some water in there to complete Nuglush's spheres, but my water-drawing skills are still not "there" yet.

Are you using watercolors, Logrin? Love the detail. Same for Headhanger, love the effort put into the details.

Wha- I- Just... Oh man! I clicked that spoiler with no idea what to expect, and was promptly rendered speechless. Well, text-less. Whatever.
Great stuff, Mister Ape! I could imagine a vinyl action figure of that. :) Love it!

Wow, thank you, guys!  :D

Oh, and I'm completely ok with Darker hosting this round.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

So... blind arthropod with bright, warty shell, pincers and poisonous sting? Sounds suspiciously familiar. :) Guess I'll pass this round, it took me several days of fighting with procrastination to finish that scorpion...

Still, couldn't help myself, lol.

But there's some awesome stuff already!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Really great, some scary lobster you got there! Seems like a frame from some animation movie or something, wouldn't be surprised if it moved. Love how you included thing associated with fb (too bad you didn't include water, even if you're not that skilled at it. Skills ain't gonna refine themselves!  :) )

Kinda reminds me of those Mass Production EVAs from The End of Evangelion.

So even if it's not very lobstery, it's still creepy. No lobster can boast such creepiness.
