I haven't tried it yet, but it's published by Slitherine, so it should at least be decent.

I bought it way back as a combo for their roman grand strategy game. Apparently battles are played out in Fields of Glory as an option. Ironically I didn't get around to playing either of them.

For a bit more than 2 days, you can claim for free "Sigma Theory: Global Cold War" on gog
It's a "espionage strategy game" that happens on an xcom-like Geoscape, with lots of visual novel-type of choices and several minigames in some nice cyberpunk visuals. Some reviews are very positive about it but point that the writing could be better.

Hey, that's pretty decent. The Eschalon line's a nice enough CRPG thing, kinda' in the same general direction as some of the Spiderweb Software stuff (Avernum, Geneforge, etc.). Not the most amazing thing the world's ever seen, but especially for free it's a good get.

Oddly it's not claimable like the previous giveaway by going on the main gog page, you need to go to the game own page directly to add it to your account as if you purchased it :

It's a very average/mediocre 3rd person shooter in which you're piloting some military drone shooting everything flying around, the futuristic cities/cyberpunk/bladerunner esthetic of the backgrounds may have some appeal tough..
