I am swearing off Mediumcore characters, especially on Expert worlds. Got an invading goblin army before I was ready for it, and kept getting killed before I could get back to my good gear.  :'(

You never want to go over softcore on expert because well... Expert is a cheating bastard... literally.

One of the major flaws I will say expert mode has is that it allows enemies to outright teleport into you. Then again I did say that expert mode is a multiplayer mode and not a single player one... so I guess it is fair in a manner of speaking.

My medcore Expert play is going well. It's a lot easier once you get a decent ranged weapon.

It isn't that you will constantly die it is more that on expert mode certain AI activities are... no longer restricted.

Heh. You were close -- the only thing I've noticed that does that so far is mimics, specifically the hallowed version (and presumably the corrupted, too). If there's anything else that just flat ports on top of you, I haven't noticed, but those definitely do.

all enemies that teleport or bamph in can teleport into you. Their AI no longer considers the player a no teleport zone.

But yeah some enemies AI is more to stay away from the player and fire from afar and won't teleport into you often. While others are to get close.

The Slime King is pretty terrible in that it will do that.

Do pumps not make unlimited liquids any more?

Pumps don't directly duplicate anymore, you need to set up the duplicating stairs to increase the amount of water. That and setting up a 2nd pump from the same input.

Yeah, it's been working just fine for me. Faster than any other method I can be arsed to figure out, even.

Think the trick is to just use multiple pumps, if you want to speed things up a bit.

Man, it takes a bit of time to get a rail network started.

Covered only around 1/5 of the track, spent 3hrs on average on it

Red tridents hurt.

Fire imps hurt. So bad.

So I tested it, pumps alone do not duplicate liquids. It is now just the liquid sliding off the edge that is increasing the amount.
