What, everyone gets a combat encounter off the bat, and I have have to wade around before I see anything remotely close to fighting?

In the land of Castles and motherfucking Conflict? I don't think it would be too terribly hard to have put in some random combat encounter.

There are reasons why Underlings are not roaming the landscape of your land like a plague.

Anyway, you look into a few of the stores. Most of them carry a very small assortment of specialty goods, such as glassware for chemists, a carpenter's shop, one store filled wall to wall with stone mugs, etc.

What are you looking for? Perhaps one of the locals could assist you in your search?

You look around. The room is similar to your bedroom, but everything is in shades of purple. Weird. You also notice that you are wearing extremely purple pajamas. With shoulder wingy dealies. You wonder what those are called.

Okay, that's weird. Now that you look, you don't seem to have a door anymore. Bizarre. You figure you'll try the window.

You stick your head out and take a look around, and quickly realize you are not in your house. Not everything is purple and vaguely gothic looking outside your house.

Unrelated: the "correct" plural of dwarves is dwarfs. Bur dwarves just feels better.
