Gotham's mysteriously high mental illness rate isn't so mysterious when you find out Batman thinks subduing a guy means spiking his head into the pavement like a football.

The fuck is this?

Could you be more specific?

Another monitor room? Jackpot. Now to find out what it does.

>Mimi & Steve: Figure out the room FOR SCIENCE!

[7,6+9]=22

You take a turn at the console, and figure out much of the same things that Mimi did.

>Mimi: Remotely power on the other one.

You decide to power on the other station remotely. You give the command, and the monitor informs you that it is 'working'.

>Claire: Be interrupted.

Your conversation is interrupted by a sudden earthquake. What on earth is going on?

>See if there's any keyboards near the monitors. If so, start punching keys randomly and hit enter. If not, see if there's anything else worthwhile around.

"Isn't there supposed to be a fancy gate around here somewhere, just like how you got to my house...?"

You've been using a keyboard to interface with the monitor this whole time! You mash keys, but nothing happens while the remote activation is in sequence.

After that finishes, you bash the keys some more, but it just ends up whipping through status screens, then putting up a message, 'Forced Activation failed, no power'

"MaYbE. i Didn'T SeE oNe yeT."

The monitors seem to be the only equipment here. This seems to be a direct control hub for the other stations, but it seems to have limited power aside from remotely powering them up.

>Mikheal: Continue beatings.

Make an attack roll.

>Mimi: Give up.

"I think we've reached a dead end... trial and error isn't going to get us to Claire's any faster. So, uh... maybe we should ask the villagers?" She points to the location of a village/town on her map.

>Mimi: Head there.

Perhaps I wasn't clear earlier. The map is marked with the locations of the return nodes, and where they lead, in terms of Titles.

Example: The gate to Claire's is marked Thief of Void.

Oh... yeah, that wasn't clear. Are all of the players there?

Sorry, I guess I should have made it more obvious.

Yes, there is a return node for each player.

Mimi looked at the map, did a double take and nearly fell over.

"I just realized... this map lists a return node for eight different titles. Those titles have been mentioned before by the invaders... from my understanding, for example, I am a Seer. So if we went through the Seer's gate..." She pointed to the return node saying Seer of Space on the map. "...We should end up at my house."

Mimi handed the map to Steve. "Now... I have a pretty firm grasp on some of the other titles. Claire's not in any danger right now, so, theoretically we could visit anyone before hopping to her place. Is there any specific person you wanted to meet?"
