Aaaaaaand my internet finally rises from the grave. About goddamn time.

>Mikheal: ...

>Mikheal: "Your joking, right? Do you mean the little delivery of a farming report for a little backwater village? I just did that for a little money!"

"That was what that was?" The King says, surprise clear on his face. "Frankly, I'm rather shocked. I was certain he'd make his
move sooner than this, to say the least..." He trails off, apparently speaking more to himself than you at this point. After
a short moment, he returns his attention to you. "Given the position my enemy has put me in, I'm sure you understand my interest.
Both nations of this land have been pitched against each other for eternity. Any minor factor could upset the balance in favor of
either side. Whether it be the results of the year's farming... Or, a wandering knight."

"Though, I must ask... if your only employment with Cacol was in delivering reports, why were you so reluctant to meet me, hm? You
must surely realize, from my perspective, it is, to say nothing else, suspiscious." The bird brings his wingtips together in front
of him, steepling them like fingers. His expression is difficult to read, but he doesn't seem angry, as such.

>CT: Observe the fruits. Pick one up (assuming I can reach them).
As in, are they Earth fruit? (Also, perception check?)

You inspect one of the fruits. It's certainly nothing you've ever encountered before. At first glance, it appeared somewhat
like a plum, but it's the size of a grapefruit at least, and the skin is even tougher than that, not to mention far more waxy.
You idly wonder how one would even eat something like this. It doesn't seem to have much of a smell to it, but perhaps it isn't
ripe? Or, it could just be the thick skin hiding ripe flesh? It's impossible to tell.

The salamanders that followed you in clamber around you, asking if you are going to eat it.

>Steve: Read

God damn but this thing is wordy.

~The saviors of the Medium, the Knights, the Mage, the Seer, the Sage, the Heir, the Thief, the Seeker: Meteors mark their beginning in their world, and their transition into ours. The Heir of Blood, destined for the Land of Snakes and Jungles. The Mage of Rage, destined for the Land of Pearls and Volcanoes. The Seeker of Time, destined for the Land of Oceans and Crystals. The Knight of Mind, destined for the Land of Castles and Conflict. The Seer of Space, destined for the Land of Bridges and Change. The Sage of Hope, destined for the land of Frost and Springs. The Thief of Void, destined for the Land of Islands and Frogs. And the Knight of Breath, destined for the Land of Produce and Machinery.

That's about as far as you get before you are interrupted by the tortoise. "Excuse me, but may I see it when you're done? I've been seeking this for many years now..."

Mimi pointed at the fruit. "Hey, if you're not going to eat it, I'll give it a shot."

>Mimi: Prepare for incoming bluh panel.

"Why? It !t po!sonous? Do these taste bad?"

The salamanders inform you that, no, they aren't poisonous, at least to them, it's just that they're hungry, and wanted the fruit.

"I'm not sure. But if you're hesitant, I might as well give it a shot."

>Mimi: Grab the fruit, attempt to peel with rapier. TASTE THE FACTORY ASSISTED RAINBOW.

You peel off quite a lot of the skin before you come to the realization that it is all the fruit is. Just more of this unappetizing waxy stuff. Undaunted, you tear a section off, and pop it into your mouth. It doesn't taste like much.

You keep chewing for a while, hoping a more enticing flavor will reveal itself. This does not come to pass.

Steve turned to the tortoise with a puzzled look on his masked face, "SavIoURs oF thE MediUm? whO'rE thEy?"

"They are mythical beings who are said to come when Prospit and Derse come together in their final conflict. Whatever that means. It's just an old crackpot legend that doesn't even make any sense."

Suddenly, the group hears the distant sound of PSHOOOES.

>Troy you are the deckhand. he is you.

You spend a fair amount of time cleaning out a very big gun. Presumably to keep you from being bored, the prospitian you're assisting gives you an overview on how to operate it, which is pretty cool, but probably ultimately useless as your strife specibus is not set to deckgunkind.

>Mikheal: "Although I think the report for a town as small as that one would be of any importance to a campaign."

>Mikheal: "I was reluctant because I had recently recieved a message from some of my friends, and I wanted to meet up with them as quick as Possible. I thought that was more important then getting involved in a conflict I don't particularly care about."

"It would seem to me that if it is large enough to warrant a report, it must be large enough to be important, wouldn't you say? In the game of war, it behooves a smart player to consider all of his opponents pieces- Not only the large ones." The King rises from his throne, and approaches you. "Perhaps when we are finished speaking, I can dispatch an escort for you, to see you reach your friends safely. I wish to know, however, are they also like you? Or are they different, but similarly strange creatures, I wonder? I would wish to extend an improved class of hospitality should they visit my kingdom. I'm sure we can both agree that the circumstances of our meeting could have been better."

"This factory is bizarre and doesn't seem to have a point yet, but I figure we could discover a little more if we went deeper in. Right?"

>Mimi: Pull down some fruits from the trees and give them to the lizards first, though.

You swipe a few more of the clipped fruits, and hand them to the lizards. Amazingly, they eat them whole. They stand around being excited and unintelligible because of the fruit.

"Well isn't that great, it's just telling us shit the trolls already told us. That's all kinds of useful. But seriously now, let's get up to that gate."

RL: Exit.

"MAYBE IT'S THERE TO TELL US BECAUSE THE TROLLS AREN'T PART OF THE GAME?" Alex said, following Danielle up the stairs and onto the roof of the pyramid. There was a small section that was flat, maybe 10 by 10. The sound of PSHOOOES grows louder. Just above the pyramid, within jumping distance, is a gate.

Alex points to a dot in the sky. "WHAT'S THAT?"

"HeRe. YoU caN rEAd oVEr iT."

>Steve: Hand the tortoise the tablet

"yeah, i think that'll be all in here. let's go."
Claire started up the stairs, and turned back at the tortoise.
"you can come too, if you want."

The tortoise nods happily, and takes the tablet, following both of you up the stairs. He becomes increasingly distraught as he reads. "I don't understand. These legends are common knowledge. How is this supposed to grant perfect understanding?"
