You spot one of the shorn trees being fed into a grinder, and the resulting sawdust fed into a large stirring Vat. The vat has a pipe leading out of it, and into the wall. Luckily, there appears to be a door into the next section of the factory.

Just a heads-up that I might not be able to post on the weekends. I'm not sure. I can't believe my wifi connection has found a way to be even MORE unreliable than it already was.

SeriousConcentrate dropped out of our D&D session 378 times before we finished for the day last Friday, so expect a bad connection. That might explain why my internet was dead for a whole morning and part of an afternoon.

"HEY, WAIT FOR ME!" Alex leaps through the gate after both of you, as all of you emerge onto a plateau surveying a huge volcanic plane. It's incredibly hot here.

Alex looks around for a minute, and looks ready to say something just as BT pops through the gate. He must've seen you going through.

Without so much as a word of greeting to the others, he starts blowing his gaskets at Danielle, talking about how dangerous the medium is, and how it's incredibly important that he be around to protect you, and blah blah blah blah blah. You just sort of tune him out. It isn't like he hasn't said this before. And it isn't like you need that much protection. The most dangerous thing you even ran into on Claire's planet were a bunch of traps, and Steve and Claire handled that pretty well without him around.

My god, he's still going. It's like he did an acrobatic fucking pirouette off the face of reason, and is just spinning out into the void of space forever. He asks if you're even listening.

Mimi heads through the door, and finds several imps and two basilisks (basisliki?) the moment she does. In the split second she has to get ready for battle, she spots another conveyor belt, and more machinery. Oh, and an enormous stack of trees.

Emily sees a fair bit of this, and also Mimi's back. The salamanders spot the basilisks and run screaming in the other direction.

QUESTION TIME
• Uhhhh is my init modifier 3+5+something else? If it's just 3+5, then is rolling for init just 2d10+8? Or is it 3d10?
• What are those card icons next to that basilisk-- is that just a visual thing because prototyped deck of cards?
• Hypothetically, would a ranged burst (e.g. the Grenade thing) attack hurt players around me in addition to enemies?
• Who is this BT person? I don't see them in the OP.

BT is an enigmatic character - the only "intruder" who actively mingles with the other characters face to face (except for RA and Troy's evil clone but those only got a little time on the spotlight). He is obsessed with protecting Danielle.
