Well, I think that we should try to eat dirt AFTER we eat a bit of plant, and get a drink. Also, we really need a drink; worst case scenario, a fish-thing gets close enough to scare us off and the best case scenario is we get a chunk of fish-thing or welif and get their DNA.

I don't think we're taking shelter right now. Besides, I think it's unlikely that there's anything else on this "island", given its size.
