I finally got a job so I'm feeling pretty great.

You're a little nervous. Okay, a lot nervous. A cute guy asked you out last week, and you've been biting your nails waiting for this day. It's an overcast Sunday morning, but just as the sun peeks through the clouds, a glint catches your eye. Magma Mater has arrived on the scene, the chrome of his Razor scooter gleaming in the filtered sunlight.

The two of you sit down for breakfast. You tug your hair as you browse the menu, half from anxiety, and half from jealousy; Magma's own hair is flowing luxuriously over his shoulders like a well-oiled batch of your mom's spaghetti. You glance up from the menu, and a jolt of electricity courses through your body as your eyes meet. He smiles and gently places a hand on your menu to lower it back to the table. "You won't be needing that dear, I know a better method," he confidently states, winking. Swooning, you barely manage a nod, wishing you still had the menu in front of your face to hide the blood rushing to it. As he flags down the nearest server, the restaurant seems to reverently hush itself to allow him to speak. "Garçon! A large bowl of your finest strawberry yoghurt, hold the strawberries."

After a bit of time yammering about whatever meaningless drudgery you keep yourself occupied with on the day-to-day, your meal arrives. A creamy mixture with a hint of pink, you eagerly seize your spoon and make a movement toward the bowl. Just before your utensil reaches the emulsion, however, Magma extends his hand and lowers your implement back to the table. "You won't be needing that dear, I know a better method," he remarks, winking. You watch in awe as he dips double digits into your breakfast, elegantly scooping a serving between his slavering lips.

A veil seems to drop upon the world. Everything is muffled, everything is dull, everything except for right here, these moments you have eating yoghurt with Magma Mater. His fingers glide effortlessly through it, gently delivering it to your mouth. You close your eyes and focus on the shape and warmth of his fingers contrasted by the sour tanginess of the cream. Your tongue dutifully explores every nook and wrinkle, retrieving what it can from under his fingernails. Then, his nose twitches slightly, and he withdraws his fingers to attend to it. A slight squelching sound emanates from his nostril as the yoghurt-covered appendage returns from its mining operation, leaving a pink ring as the only trace of its presence there. Soon enough, his fingers return to work serving the two diners.

Some time later, the bowl lies empty upon the table. You let out a deep sigh of satisfaction, leaning back in your chair. A wave of melancholy passes over you as you realize the end of your date is nigh. You offer to pay the bill - it's only fair, after all the work he did to ensure you were fed - and he graciously allows you the honour. Leading you by the arm, he escorts you outside. It's been such a great morning, and fearing its imminent end you invite him to spend the rest of the day at your apartment, but the gentleman declines. Instead, he leans down and bequeaths you the last of the yoghurt, still encrusted upon his lips. A pleasant metallic taste has been endowed upon it by his many coldsores, and you greedily lap up what you can. You plan your next date at the ramen shop across town, and smile contentedly as he rides his Razor scooter down the street and around the corner.

Makes me fearful for whoever would submit "'Ng ゥ$◣ 8qZ", it's not alignment indicative at all (we all submitted materia before knowing our alignment), but that feels as one of corruption.

Hello, one of my favorite people!

I suspect I may have a chance to read you correctly this game.  So far, you appear likely town.  I would **like** to have more to read before I start going off 1-post reads.  Also, if I appear or do need more to mark you, that makes it harder for you to know what I think I see, which helps increase the accuracy over time

I would really like you to be town this game though, for all the reasons you're likely to guess if you wonder; the teamwork-related stuff.  More on that later, I am still figuring out my role and options there.  Happily my alignment is clear and simple

So, Fallacy outright rejected my W13-related request last game I asked.

And then (like right then, during that game) life for me went weird in a mix of good and bad ways, and I now have a way to get my W13 fixes outside of mafia, or at least apply and be rejected, whatever may one day happen.

So, I got the sense that... people here might want more variety, + 'I can finally stop asking'.  Cool.  Beans.  And more, like the whole rest of the garden.  Now I can request other stuffs.  Turns out there's LOADS of interesting stuffs I can request instead.

I want us to remember that there COULD be mechanical benefit to knowing who submitted specific materia.  I do not have that mechanic personally at this time.  However, we are in a NQT BYOR-like/CYOS-like game.  So, maybe think about how revealing you choose to be about what you personally submitted.

For example, the odds of you having materia that you submitted is maybe higher than the odds of you not having it; if Tric or anyone had an ability that has a special affect if someone possesses the ability 'sugar', say, like he can destroy the target's 'sugar materia' (or give them diabetes KEYWORD, or some other reason why he'd wanna know that), he might really want that info and each of us may or may not want to share it.

Tric, I can't think of a way to ask you about that question you asked without sounding to me it's fishing.  Would be townie fishing, but if you wanna say anything, I'm reading.

Yay for EP's job!  And for feeling great!  I... am currently semi-stable compared to how I was recent games.  This is likely to change unpredictably, but I am probably 'more sane' than I have been the last few games, since Fal's game where I first couldn't be W13-related.

So, I'm more feeling... beef heart braised with butternut squash, Toony, than peachy   But for me for now, it's kinda 'all right'.

Also, Toons.  It's possible that everyone submitted 3, and for 2 players, one of their 3 submissions collapsed together into 1.

I have three guesses for what Tric is doing, two of which I won't spell out:
1) He's making a specific play that's comprehensible but probably not very effective.
2) He's making a different, totally useless play because he missed a certain piece of information.
3) He's scum trying to get information on materia he didn't submit. Throwing a grenade in the role lake frame 1 feels like a town!Tric play so this is the least likely universe.

I explained this elsewhere, but that may have been discord gen-chat, so not surprised you missed it.  Basically, I chose it back when I (and the internet in general) was younger and thought using the 'Z' instead of 'S' was 'unique' and 'cool' and 'edgy' (this was before that word had the negative connotation it has today).  I use the same(ish) SN in most communities, for continuity between, and it has led to me meeting the same people in different communities, which I personally think is pretty neat.  So I just continue using it.

I submitted Thunderous Propagation.  On attack, it gives target a copy of one of attackers equipped materia, and makes a Thunderclap.  On defend it give +1 defend slot & prevents your actions from making Thunderclaps.  On accessory, it changes any random materia received to a copy of a random materia equipped.


How did you come up with that specific list?

I'd like for the reader to insert themselves into the shoes of the protagonist. It was intentionally written with an ungendered protagonist, for accessibility reasons.
I did write it myself. I was inspired by Gail's reaction to my "put your fingers in the pudding and stir it around" post last game.

I've hidden the names of my materia in the post, for posterity.

And before anyone asks, it is purely a work of fiction. I do not actually own a Razor scooter.

Let's focus on 'alignment inspect' because that does not exist in this game.

Presuming there's redirects, blocks, and various ways to go meta and direct, knowing who claims they can do what can indeed be useful for everyone.
