Okay, this game is pretty neat, I gotta admit.  I love the "Walk on walls" robe ability. :D

How do I make beam/laser???
Optical lens.

Incidentally, I'm finding myself saddened that laser wand depreciates badly at the doctorate level. While it does insta-hit, the fact that it lacks a damage bonus really hurts it when most of the enemies have >500 hp. It feels like you really need a couple of damage boosters (I'm not sure if you can safely replace homing+dig. I guess I should try it...) to keep the wand relevant as a damage source. Alchemist stone + illusion dust or seashell's been my way to go, so far. Kinda' thinking about stacking one DoT on the wand and the other on the spell... conceptually, that'd be the highest raw damage combo you could get, I think, with the enchant boost kicking 'em up.

There's also a notable amount of weirdness with beam+diamond (piercing -- the beam stops damaging after the first critter hit), which is a shame. That plus homing and dig would theoretically nail, like, all the things.

You want light show, though, go beam/butterfly/illusion dust (and probably dig). It's kinda' hilarious. Basically hits the entire screen if you've got A/B ranked materials, though it does piss all damage. Swap the beam for mermaid shell for some legit danmaku action, though do make sure to disable the chaos butterfly visual effect (just above the wands, if you missed it) before firing away. This is especially true for the beam.

---

Currently hitting a bit of a brick wall with doctorate level castle and master level desert. The latter's mostly 'cause of the sandstorm (which'll be pretty trivial to robe-around, honestly, I just haven't gotten around to it), but doctorate castle is kinda' miserable. Freaking books, bombs everywhere, 700 hp ghosts that move faster... s'pretty awful.

E: Actually, if you want to see something both very interesting and incredibly random... go homing/butterfly/dig/diamond. You'll occasionally get to see a wand shot do >1k damage :P 2-500 damage hits aren't exactly rare in the castle... a more open level would be pretty devastating.
E2: Utterly freaking annihilates some of the sandworm forms, actually :D

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Mmmm... I'm... not sure, but I think I've found the best boss killing combo the game has to offer. Definitely at least one of the best.

Wand setup: Enchant: Dig, beam, caustic ichor x2. Dig's to deal with obstructions (particularly firing down through platforms) and beam's to keep the effect on the boss, so aiming and reload isn't as much of an issue.

Spell: Enchant: Explosive powder, alchemist stone, noxious slime x2. Explosive powder's to hit all the boss components at once, or at least most of them.

My current setup has A rank dig, B rank everything else on the wand, and an A rank noxious spore and explosive powder, and B rank alchemist stone and second noxious spore on the spell. While the wand debuff is on the enemy, each poison tick down does... 708 damage. Just improved it to a A rank alchie stone on the spell and... 816. Per. Tick. And there's ten ticks. So... 8160 damage from a single casting.

With a direct hit, anyway. 659 otherwise. A meager 6.5k damage :P

E: Two spell casts to kill last doctorate worm :3

... how are you folks doing the doctorate runs, anyway?

Aww, I somehow managed to corrupt my save... I think it's alchemy that did it. It seems like a very unfinished/buggy system. Oh well.

Okay, this seems pretty cool. However, I'm not sure if this is a bug or intentional:

After getting the Jumping Socks, I jumped up to the treasure chest above the archaeologist that you couldn't reach before, and got something called QUEST_ITEM_UNDEFINED. Then I jumped down, accepted the quest to test the boots, and turned it in for no reward. Given the game's sense of humor, I'm genuinely unsure whether I bugged the game via sequence breaking or if that's what you'd normally get :P

Given that this isn't a metameta game like Evoland, I'd assume its not entirely on purpose. :P

This game is still in Alpha 0.7.3.
It's helpful to report any bug or suggestion in official forum.  :D

Just checked the forum. The exact glitch has been posted, and a dev has said that it will be fixed in the next patch.

So...awesome. My work here is done :D

Seems like my save corruption bug is also reported on their forum. I uploaded my save and a description of what I was doing, hopefully it should help.

Is anyone willing to start a torrent of the game? 15kb/s with the download breaking off at random intervals is pain, and I've been trying to get it since the thread was posted.
