Were you planning to put something in this thread or just let it die empty?

It was mostly its brain... whales are massive, but a forgotten beast can have a few hundred assorted edible body parts as well.
I like these times when you manage to kill some monster and the whole fort is occupied with bonecrafting, leatherworking, cooking and of course eating - for months  :P

I can see the image, and it is awesome, but you're right that it's the wrong forum.

You do know that there is a 'move thread' button that you can use to switch forums, right?

Huh, I caged an Ettin recently... body size is 8 million...

Now I just need to kill it somehow.
I guess i'll give my army the order. 8-9 soldiers with steel short swords should do the trick.

I'm curious to see what will be inside.

Dropping it down a deep pit would be easier. It'd also save you the trouble of butchering him and then having your vutcher pass out from exhaustion halfway through.

I haven't done that to critters in this version; does it actually separate out all its edible components?

I thought that each individual part would have to be butchered separately...
