Several questions, how would I go about making a theropod dinosaur, or a pterodactyl, is it possible to make sail/spikes on a specific area and how would I go about giving a creature a slime coating?

For the specific orientation, look at the body_default and how how organs are arranged, stuff like eyes are on the front of the head above the nose, the heart is inside the ribs, above/between the lungs-ish, and so forth.

So, does anyone happen to know if there is something in here that would explain why I've got towns and hamlets with roaming squads of soldiers "on an important mission" who all think the local ruler is "for the best" but aren't hearthpersons?

I've got various other modded entities, and other ones have done this behavior but the human one is the most baffling because I have no clue what caused them to start this behavior. I notice that they always ambush unless you're a hearthperson, and then they will give the "long live the cause" type of greeting. They definitely aren't bandits, and if you yield they leave you alone and wander off.

So, I've been trying to make dinosaurs, but am stuck with body sizes, the numbers I get are always far too small to be correct... Any help?

Do you have a ballpark for how much your dinosaurs would actually weigh? One size unit is one cubic centimeter, which in a terrestrial body made of mostly water is about one gram, of which 453.59 make up one imperial pound. Once you've anchored that part down, you can start twiddling with the other properties of the beast to make it start making sense as a whole.

What does the FACIAL_FEATURES tag thing do?

I decided against the multiple caste beast, and decided on just the Shambler creature.

I plan for the Shambler to have a blank face (no hair, ears, eyes, nose, nothing) except for a mouth with clicking mandibles.

I know a tag to give it.

The EXTRAVISION tag.

Facial Features are cheeks, eyelids and lips.

So, in addition to my other modding projects I've resumed attempts to remake the mewtwo mod, it doesn't crash but some of the attacks don't work right and more importantly, it can't breathe and has no ability to grasp or stand... for some reason here are the relevant raws

Well fuck that's a rat's nest alright. Let's see.

CONTYPE has only a few specific applicable targets, see the token list.
STANDARD_BIDPED_GAITS is spelling it wrong.
Is the non-existent TELEKINESIS bodypart supposed to be some kind of a skin shield made from ENERGY? I don't know how to get where you thought you were going with that one, sorry.
You forgot to stick in the STANDARD_MATERIALS and STANDARD_TISSUES body detail plans. No creature gets those by some unspoken default, they still need to be declared.
Your critter hasn't declared having those magic attack materials (psychic et al) either. Switching the LOCAL_CREATURE_MAT tags to point to generic INORGANIC materials instead should work.
