You jiggle the lock to no effect, you sigh and walk through the fog in the direction you believe leads to the landlords home

After what seems like an eternity, and what may or may not have been the same pattering of footsteps you heard earlier, you arrive at your landlords home. It is an old two story house, and it seems like there are no lights on inside. That's odd.

You knock on your landlords door, and there is no answer.
