Well, if we weren't living in the constant fear of being burned/pillaged/killed/raped (underline the appropriate), that probably means there's not much military activity. I vote 3.

I go for 3 as well. Rivers promote growth. There's a reason all early civilizations started next to a river. Ur, the first city, was next to 2.

3 is my vote , but mind if we change our name to
Sir Cumfrance after we get our land???

Sir Cumfrance of the Round Table?

Edit: Sir Rendor is the best I can come up with

We can be Sir Rendor, Sir Cumferance, or Sir Pent for all I care; I just want our name to be punny

...Have you ever heard of historic knights changing their surnames? Stone is a perfectly good one. Stop proposing idiotic and pointless changes, guys.

We're coming up with puns, not names changing.

Common folk do change surnames all the time, we don't have to change our names we could just use a title
Sir 'stone' Rendor
Or
Sir 'Rendor' Stone

3! That is what I vote for. We should be the naval power of this world. Controlling trade, colonizing, accepting bribes into conflict, fishing, whaling, etc. There is a reason that all major civilizations were founded next to a large water source. Are therefore flowing swampy areas? That means a large amount of game as well as the possibility for water gardens. (The Aztecs used chinampas, plants grown in massive clumps in their lakes to feed massive groups.) if it is not to acidic that is. What is the soil like on the shore? Clay? Fertile? What is our surrounding land like and what is further upstream?
