Consider this: Gregor and Derick have a duel with same quality weapons (Iron, for example) and in neutral conditions (no terrain, supports and so on). On whom you would bet?

Derick the Swordmaster of Doom
Gregor the Tanky Stab-Sentinel

Re: Fire Emblem on Forums (FEF), OOC Thread. BATTLESONG OF CHARLOTTE
« Reply #6930 on: May 30, 2013, 10:51:29 pm »

Charlotte's not gonna charge prixima. For now, she still works for her and is contractually obligated to help save her ass. That was more an implication that, somewhere soon down the line, she expects Prixima to somehow use the power (?) they hunted down for most of the game to ill effect.

I mean, if that doesn't happen, I'll be really surprised OOC, too. Like I said once before, no competent military man would waste dozens of lives and countless hours of planning on protecting a family vase. No matter how nice that vase is, it's still just a vase.

I've been struggling to write Gregor's response for several minutes now. It's a tough call to make, IC and OOC.

Well, maybe not OOC. Obviously Gregor will be going with the group for the foreseeable future, otherwise he'd be dropped out of the game and that would be boring.

But IC, he's currently caught between two conflicting wishes: one is to stick with Charlotte, who he's only known for a week or two but has growing feelings for. The other is 18 years of being taught to toe the line and follow orders.

Alexander is pretty much a shoo-in for staying with Prixima in that event- unless she lets on something about betraying Menelea as a whole, in which case he will not side with Prixima.

THERE. Hope you're happy FFS, it's the only way I can think of to not throw either of Gregor's loyalties away on a mid-battle surprise question.

Or if Alexander builds up any supports.
Then he'd be majorly troubled.

You really want to accompany Chris to chests to carry his stuff. Otherwise there will be tears.

Also; fight between Prixima and Vagor was cutscene-rigged, sorry :P

I thought it had that cutscene vibe to it :P
Shame there was basically no chance of getting that guy's loot.

EDIT: So who can help Chris carry stuff? Gregor has three lances, two uses of a vulnerary, and a Knight's Crest; he's full. Maybe Salvator can do it?

Sure, I'll help Chris out.

EDIT: I can use my "Drag and Drop" rescue powers too, if the opportunity comes up. I think that if you rescue and release on the same turn it doesn't eat up next turn... Maybe? I'd need to look in the handbook.

If Olison moves forward, I can get Gregor within 3 squares of Charlotte quite easily. Otherwise it will be tricky since the dude is so far away. I can even have Gregor use a vulnerary on Olison.
