Calling it now: the stones actually had that demon bound inside. Prixima thought she was gaining power but has actually been slowly releasing the demon.

I was more thinking it's the demon split up. It's dead, but it's power is still there. So she's becoming a demon. Too bad the tile sizes are too small for that really nice demon sprite.

No, he already stated that it's a multi tile enemy. Like trees in the upcoming DF version.
