Random comment from the sidelines - i keep thinking of this Sir Major when reading the title, which i find uproariously funny. He just seems like the sort whose adventures are of the "how i beheaded an unsuspecting hard-boiled egg and _ate it_" type.

I guess I'll put up a few generic actions in the poll for you.

Edit:
I should add that if you go with the talking to the woman or getting Silky a drink, you should probably post a way of going about it. What to say, how to get the elf up to a barrel to drink etc.

I think Silky's had enough wine for now.  It's probably still sloshing around in the lungs.

Catten does not want to pick up Silky since she's still covered in liquor, and she can't reach the barrel on her own. Toppling the barrel would shower her in booze before she could drink out of it. Just putting that out there, since #3 is still in the race.

Moreover, how would you want to go about making her swallow the stuff? Telling her she'll suffocate if you don't hear enough gulps would be a bit of an extreme.

Edit:
As for #1, do you intend to talk about the weather with the woman in the cloak?

"At least it doesn't rain down here."

No, about who she is and who the guy who left is.

>wonder outloud what a little elf girl is doing down here in a dwarven fortress.  Then stare expectantly at Silkyelf.

Should I just write down all of my ways to get Silky booze, and roll for it?

This may be excessively humane but why not just get a mug? Any fort with a noble that likes crafts ends up with hundreds of the things lying around.

You should give the Elf booze.
That does sound like a nice thing to do. So do I just dump some ale on her?
No! That's just idiotic. Get her a mug or something to drink out off.

And again there's nobody. How weird. Hey, there's a note here.

Elfturban!
I'm not sure how to make that with just elf. Do you intend to fetch some cloth and tie Silky to your head?(Not a bad idea to restrain her like that, seeing as she can't keep her drunken balance.)
