I want to be between those two rows of hay bales, with a vantage point on the road. I'll shoot through the gaps between the bales.
Are you sure that's a good place to be? Hay bales don't stop bullets, you know?
Good point. I'll probably have to move around after a few shots anyways, and there is some open space between the bales and any cover. Post edited.

Can't see right now but: stick with a large squad and remain in cover.

I'm right here if you need me fellas! Hopefully you won't!

Strap a stolen radio to one of my riflemen, then split the squad of twenty into two equal squads of ten, stationed at the locations recommended.

(( So tired... ))

((sorry for the delay, ladies and gents, but life has been pretty hectic.))

Fine-tune the positions, make sure everyone is in cover and get ready for the convoy.

[4]

Everything is mostly the same, though some of the infantry creeps pretty closely to the road.

[2]The enemy convoy has arrived! [4]The sniper scopes it out, [1]it's mainly British and it's got some serious firepower:

Starting from the left: A39 Tortoise Tank Destroyer, the biggest Allied tank; a fuel truck, a half-track with an AA turret, half-tracks transporting infantry, various trucks, and a MkVIII Cromwell.

[4]

They start going down the road as planned, without scouting ahead.

((EDIT: I ran a test simulation. Every single Allied vehicle got creamed, except for the A39, which killed everything.))

Command the soldiers on my side of the road: Infantry, sniper and MG42 should shoot enemy infantry, mortar blasts a fuel truck, the PaK and the SdKfz fire on the tank in the front.

((A second warning, no matter how efficiently you deal with the other vehicles, if you leave the A39 alone, it will cream everything. It's the second most unstoppable tank in the simulator, just after something I'm saving for an endgame.))

Open fire! If I need to shoot a vehicle then go for the fuel truck.

Whatever happens, we should probably keep the Hetzer and specialist team hidden until they get a good shot at the sides or rear of that A39. The rest of our forces should be able to deal with the bulk of the convoy without them.

I would ask why fire can burn two men to death without getting hot enough to burn a book, but then I read "INEXTINGUISHABLE RUNNING KAMIKAZE RADIOACTIVE FLAMING ZOMBIE" and realized that logic, reason, and physics are all occupied with crying in the corner right now.

Stay in cover. Wait for an opportunity to snipe the driver of one of the trucks in the front..

The A39 is pretty much immune to all sorts of attack, unless you can manage to flank one with a decent tank and shoot it's engine or its tracks. I do mean tank, I haven't pierced any of it's armour with light AT weapons.

tl:dr it is twenty times more dangerous than all the other vehicles in the convoy combined.

How strong is the A39 on the underside? Would AT mines work?

They will, but you might need more than one. They have good range and great armor, so they usually camp up the back of the battlefield. I can only crush them by ramming a tank into their ass and shooting the shit out of the engine.
