Lord Malakath officially apologises for permanently killing the Golems and Gremlins. Emphasis on '
permanently'.
Lord Lecta defines the battle-sibling's blood bond:
A bond between two warriors that improves their ability to fight in unison. If one of the warriors is killed, the warrior's soul will co-inhabit the body of the living warrior giving them a large, temporary boost in power, even greater than fusion.
More than two warriors can be part of the bond. In such a case, the warrior's soul will remain for the remainder of the battle and increase their team-fighting ability. Once only a single warrior remains, the other warriors' souls will co-inhabit the living one's soul and give it a proportionally large, temporary boost in power.
As the name of the bond suggests, the bond will only affect close friends.
All warriors who die in battle after taking the blood bond will go to the Heavenly Plane, save for one exception. If a warrior purposefully kills their battle-sibling on purpose and without their consent, the warrior will die and go to the Shadow Realm.
Malakath Lecta, goddess of Souls, looks upon the art of soul-manipulation and saddens by the way it is seen as a taboo magic. With a name such as 'Necromancy' and the way necromancers have been using their power - namely by spreading death and raising corpses and such - it's understandable. It is time for new branches of Necromancy to be defined.
The magic formally known as Necromancy magic is now known as Soul magic. The word 'Necromancy' is downgraded so that the first letter is a lower-case letter - becoming 'necromancy' - as it is now a sub-categorial form of magic (similarly to blood magic) and only refers to Soul mages who work with the dead. Necro.
Instead of manipulation of the souls of others, a Soul mage may instead choose to strengthen their own soul. This would provide small boosts in all types of power (physical, chi, magic) but would especially help with other Soul techniques and even Cosmic magic since the user would be able to handle more without their soul burning out.
A skilled Soul mage might even be able to heal their other people's souls if they somehow become damaged or corrupted. This allows them to actively help a Cosmic mage when performing a powerful spell as the Soul mage can repair the Cosmic mage's soul as it's getting burned.
More drastically, two mortals powerful in both Soul and Cosmic magic will be able to fuse with each other, thus taking the angels' exclusivity over the art away. Other forms of magic that can help in fusion are Elemental (blood magic and raw, physical elements), Ritual, Divine (Cim, Kli, Joha, Malakath, Fusil, if weapon-fusion is involved), Psymental (multiple minds), and Celestial (depending on active skyfeatures). Of course, fusion between three mortals would require all three to be exceptionally powerful in Soul and Cosmic magic, and four or more would be all but impossible due to the power and skill requirements, even with assisting magic.
Finally, a skilled Soul can speed up the development of souls such as Shinjo. They can even create non-weapon souls on their own!
Also, the idea of necromancers gaining power by eating souls is a myth.
A great many printing presses, town criers, and other information-spreaders are hired to begin spreading knowledge of the reformation of Necromancy as well as to spread information of blood magic/contracts on both worlds. Cosmic mages and the Armu are especially targeted as recipients of the information regarding Soul magic.
"Just a question, but is there a system where Essence is rewarded to a god who greatly participates in defining the universe?"(I voted for worldbuilding in the OOC poll. This is my interpretation of worldbuilding.)
The three dead Controllers are revived. The original two are given offers to become Malakathian angels. As with the other Malakathian-aligned angels, they would still keep their Yaos-alignment. All angels (including Malakathians) are given freedom to do what they were doing before I was born.
(I'd forgotten what it was like to just be able to do things besides fight other gods or wait for my Essence cap to increase. It's nice.)
