I think I'm going to do this, but first I need to think about the goals.

Need to think of goal things. What to do, what to do...

I guess making one of my goals "Think up Twelve Behemoth list" would be a bit of a cop-out.

Major things:
1. Play more guitar.
2. Compose more music. Actually follow through on ideas and concepts.
3. Record music for once. Actually follow through on these things instead of daydreaming about it and procrastinating.
4. Apply for the auditions to get into the college music department and the studio recording department of the music department. No audition means no chance of getting in, rather than the potential chance of not getting in.
5. Get in shape. Go to the rec. Get buff. Social anxiety be damned, everyone started from nothing.
6. Make friends. getting into the small classes of the college studio recording department drastically increases the likelihood of making friends due to similar interests and passions. Friends with music people, would be totally cool.
7. Ask a girl out. Get over anxiety, everyone asks people out, it's natural and not some cringe-worthy thing like in elementary school.

Less major things:
8. Learn to speak japanese, if I have the time for it. Because why not. Also because I could fully appreciate the japanese singers I occasionally listen to. Also could better appreciate the animation in anime because I won't be missing frames by reading english subs.
9. Meditate more often.
10. Spend less time on the internet. Anything other than surfing the same websites over and over and over.

Oh man, missed last years version of this thread, so now i'm totally going to jump in on the fun. Finding 12 goals is probably going to be a bit hard, but let's see if it isn't possible, in no particular order:

1. Finish Angry Laser Space, or at least get it to 1.0. This bloody project has been in progress for over 4 years now, and i think it's about time to wrap it up as neatly as possible, so i can get going on other things.

2. Get into the habit of drawing something every day. Doesn't have to be anything specific or mindblowing, just SOMETHING so i can keep up the practice, be it digital or traditional.

3. Paint something with the acrylic paint (and canvas) that i got for my birthday. Something that isn't just a half-hearted leaf.

4. Give someone in meatspace uncensored access to my deviantArt page, preferrably one of my immediate relatives. This may sound simple, but due to personal issues, is comparable in fear and difficulty of execution to russian roulette. It is most definitely the "all in" move of my life right now, and a bad result could have dreadful consequences for my psyche, while a good result could possibly result in me finally breaking the shackles cast upon me by my oppressors back in elementary school.

5. Start talking to people over the intertoobs with my microphone. I am EXTREMELY SHY AND AWKWARD but my past experiences have been a lot of fun.

6. A vague one: Try to stop caring so much about what others think. It goes hand in hand with my crippling lack of self-esteem, and is, in essence, what makes things like 3, 4 and 5 very hard to do.

7. Get a hold of my sleeping rhythm. At the moment, if people didn't wake me up, it'd keep advancing all the time, and sleepytime is already WAY past midnight and approaching the next morning.

8. Try my hand at some kind of music-ing. I like listening to music too much to at least not try making some myself. :v

Well, only 8 goals for now. Fortunately, 2015 is still VERY young, and i will probably add the last 4 goals as i think of them.

1. Think up Twelve Behemoth list.
2. Keep living spaces tidy. Pick up clothes, put things away, dust, vacuum, clean, etc. This only involves a lot of effort when I don't do it, so yeah.
3. Build good study habits. Keep up with the workload and so on. Straightforward, but I have an abominable track record with this kind of thing so I won't be surprised if it falls flat.
4. Exercise. I want to build this up from the current "sometimes walk a little bit" to "go for a walk/jog most days". This is less about fitness/losing weight/whatever and more about keeping myself active so I don't die of heart disease before the age of forty.
5. Stop worrying about being an arsehole when I'm in public/with polite company. I'm always ludicrously polite and well-spoken in those type of situations, so it's really a non-issue.
6. Be less of an arsehole around friends/with "relaxed" company. There is no middle ground for some reason.
7.

So, yeah. Pretty generic at this point. I have to start somewhere. New issues will crop up along the way, though. By the end it should be a bountiful harvest. 7. Stop mixing metaphors.

1. Remember to actively give more of my time to my family. I spend a lot of time on the computer.
2. Get the hell out of retail/customer service, no matter what it takes. I'm miserable and I hate it.
3. Get custody of daughter.
4. Get back to coding. #1 takes priority, though.
5. Pay off student loans/medical debts. Get credit score up. #2 may have to happen first.
6. Get back to making art of some kind. Doesn't matter what kind. Just art.
7. Buy a house? Buy a haus. #5 definitely comes first.
8. Exercise! Get under 200 lbs!
9. Eat better, try more fruits and veggies.
10. Host more P&P roleplaying sessions.
11. Work on Neo Dreams: Chronicles of Avarsiin. P&P and video game form.
12. Make my Sims LP more hilarious.

That was...actually a lot easier than I thought it would be.

Alright, I'm game. Learning a bit from last year, I'm going to post my draft now. I'll consider it finalized in a week, and will update this post accordingly. It's less wiggle-room, and more that I'm confident I've forgotten something important due to fatigue.

10. Eat at least one new food, or drink at least one new beverage, each month.

1. Utterly cliche, but I really need to exercise more and hopefully lose weight and gain some upper body strength.
2. Be more social. Don't just be another body in the crowd.
3. And for crying out loud, when you do talk, don't be an asshole. Doubly so in regards to friends.
4. Hand in hand with #2, get your friends' phone numbers. Seriously. Screw your fears of what they might think.
5. More socialness: Ask your crush out, quit fearing the possible results.
6. Eat a more varied diet that isn't nearly 100% chicken, beef, and/or bread.
7. Try to draw & write more. You're already not!horrible at writing, but it needs some a lot of work.
8. Talk more and be more comfortable with your family. Try not to dislike them so much.
9. You could do with getting out of the house more and going to places that aren't on the internet. Hopefully with a girlfriend.
10. Do small hygiene stuff more regularly, rather than just every couple of days at best.
11. Wear your retainer every other night like you're supposed to as opposed to maybe a couple times a month if that.
12. Be less opposed to personal posting in the emotion threads - that's what they are there for and you aren't going to get support/encouragement from them otherwise.

Not as hard to come up with as I thought, though completing certain ones are going to take a bit of effort.

I've been doing something different as a form of resolution. Resolutions by cumulative statements (5-verse clusters, so far).

It has been reliable so far, since I first started, and been adding onto it since then as a snowballing resolution series: 5 years and still going.
r1 - "I Reject your reality and substitute my own."
   //Or simply put "Fuck everyone's opinion.". I took things too personally, this would stop it.
r2 - "I know what the fuck I am doing."
   //I'll believe in myself more and my own methods to my madness; higher chance of working anyhow; regardless how insane.
r3 - "Just who the hell do you think I am?"
   //Nothing will put me down anymore. I can accept hits when necessary, but I will never go down. Just as well; kick reason to the curb and do the impossible.
r4 - "It's best to cut our losses and move on..."
   //Good timing on this resolution, seeing as I lost 3 pets last year (1 dog, 2 cats; minimum of 5-10 years residing), along with my old job. Original intent was that I needed to stop being so uptight and such a perfectionist. Funny enough, allowing flaws back in made me more badass, get better times, and overall, made me handle losing, and unfortunate losses much better in the long run.
r5 - "No regrets: I will do what makes me happy."
   //I did my tenure of misery, let's cash this check, and see what all these "flaws/setbacks/misfortunes/calamities/un-cashed-in (intentionally rejected) miracles and favors (both a form of personal pride and challenge; no help from God, so to speak.)" can buy me (like a point-buy system; take a ton of crap so you can profit in benefits later. So misery now, peace of mind later. Now it's time for peace for me.). In other words, I no longer want to live a miserable hell of an existence. I'd rather go to Hell on my own terms; with a BFG9000 a super shotgun, and an absurd amount of ammo. And going to Hell as a form of recreation, not punishment. Just as well, I have my own method of running my freelancing I'm applying, and it shows promise.

So overall, my resolution for this year reads as:

I reject your reality, and substitute my own;
I know what the fuck I am doing. Just who the hell do you think I am?
It's best to cut our losses and move on...
No regrets: I will do what makes me happy.

Every resolution previously made spans the others as well, and are still in play. Only real catch is that the overall statement combined must retain some level of sense when spoken out, and can be followed like a credo. Make it sound like a prayer if you must.
