Depends how you look at it.

The AP trying to murder Zenurion kinda made it so all their stuff was fair game, and Don Gio bull-rushed the Humans in order to do one of two (perhaps both) things, but Si took issue with it and fought back. Then it seemed everyone started choosing sides, Zenurion got involved and there was a little bit of fighting.

So it was a big thing that triggered all this, and then the potential for another big thing (Mind Lacerator) that fueled it further.

Since at the time it came up, it seems to be some attempt to make it seem like Si wants to take it and use it for herself.

It's probably a red herring, to try and distract from the whole "Don attacking humans" thing.
