That's apparently how blindness works, SB. Who knew? Besides TBF that is.

Because touching someone who is trying to kill you is a wonderful idea.

See, this is why I was wondering what blindness would do as a status effect. Because it doesn't really fit into the system... Though I could see it causing the afflicted to miss 7 out of 8 of their (non-magic/AoE?) attacks or something like that. Would that be a good idea?

Because, as we all know, swinging your sword into the ether always works, and magic attacks that are used as projectiles but are otherwise entirely magical (such as Lightning Spear) also function correctly, despite being thrown at the target.

I'm not arguing with you that it's pretty dumb, but balancewise, in that system of debuffs, it'd be way too OP.

A gun is also a gun, but it still needs to be pointed in the right direction. Sure, it can kill someone, but if you don't aim it, it does jack.
Maybe an X% miss chance on all attacks for Y turns?

Which is what I'm trying to get at here. X would have to be more than 66% too, since otherwise Confuse would be better due to the possibility of self-harm.

90% chance for attack (exception:AoE) to miss.
