but it also looks very nice





hey, a idea for later the southerners have cocoa and need metals, we could sell them golden trinkets and buy it (that seems obvious, and after our expedition they will surely go send someone to talk to us sooner or later)

but we could buy a bunch of slaves, dark elves and some notable/important people that they got.

we won't make them our slaves, but we will ask for retribution of their freedom for them to work a bit with our house of learning and give information/maps/tech

we can grant some dark elves liberty to settle in our lands (oh yeah, nothing like investing in long-term special troops) and help some of the richer and political ones to return safely to their lands expecting or a monetary/resource reward or some bonus in diplomacy

that can be the base to create a strong coalition to defend ourselves from another damdamian incursion, as if they try to do something funny we can try to make coordinated attacks from every side

If we desire to do someday the bill of rights because of what we heard about in damdamian lands, let's wait a bit for us to discover that our culture became united/stronger. so we can guarantee that we won't just see people leaving easily our lands every time shit happens (and we will see our hurthlings spreading to other regions faster and guarantee their survival

Glasswork in Ysirene returned only small profits this year, merchants report.

1180 AD, Winter

Silver, gold and gemstones arrive in the Treasury; the glassware is sent to Ysirene.

The dwarven prospectors return just as the smelly runemasters leave the dank prison cell they were working at.

"What your mines are mining today is the amount of minerals Methiant has. All the metals, precious or otherwise, jewels and fine sand suitable for glassmaking, they are all exploited already."

The runemasters unwrap the long bronze shaft from the old rag they had covered it with. The shaft is two-and-half meters long, and is made of bronze, but has a shine as if waxed to perfection. A small eschutcheon on the top, made with silver plate, and the green and red eagle of Yoean Dynasty is patterned from all kinds of gemstones; peridots, rubies, sardonyxes, red amethysts, green opals.

The Advisor leans in to whisper.

"How we shall proceed, Lady Empress?"

A) "We shall get rid of the dwarves with help of a razor or two!!"
