The assault goes poorly; the Blackhearts fire slow while the trebuchets do not. Several puffs of smoke rise from the bombarded city and those with keener eyesight report a single tower crumbling, but otherwise the walls are unbreached.

Then the worst happens; one of the Blackhearts fires up prematurely, sending fiery bits of Fireblood and hot metal shrapnel around!

You had good luck in this bad luck; no one else but the crew of that Blackheart perished, as it was on the far flank and by distance was furthest from all others.

Trebuchets keep launching their stones and two more Blackhearts are destroyed! Along with the precious machines of war, many operators are killed and at least fifty more of your soldiers perish as well. The city smokes a bit as well, but neither its walls or spirit seems to be broken yet.

After the third barrage, the Blackhearts require thorough cleaning, and their operators hurry with their acids and other ingredients.

A) Keep'em going, boys!
B) Okay, that's it - time to retreat.
