Chapter 024: The Sacred Songs of Laser, Crystal and Scrap
2406.9.19
The Battle of Shashamar continues for days and weeks, until Trigonometric Solar declares victory over the local Fortress and its defense grid. Praised be the Mainframe!
Battle Father Baron Vyctor Jariden has however noted the extreme casualties at the side of the Order-Numbers.
Therefore a withdrawal order for OSMV Relic and a dispatch order for Children of Salvage and Apostles of Silicon were issued on the same day.
2406.10.3
Daughters of Mainframe in the meanwhile have begun conquering systems adjacent to Masinissa's Demise. The local Starholds are weakly defended, and the Trebazoan 1st Star Order is a swarm of corvettes.
This side of the war should not be as difficult as the fighting within Hazbuzan territory.
2407.3.18
The Lazon Wormhole Citadel is attacked by Hazbuzan fleets - this has been foreseen, and Lazon Citadel was undergoing defense platform construction when they hit.
Hazbuzans also attack recently captured Shashamar, in the middle of reinforcement period.
2407.6.29
Shashamar has fallen by the time the Battle of Lazon truly reached its apex. Despite numerical advantage the Lazon Citadel is holding, thanks to its extreme armor and hull integrity.
Its on-board facilities also swiftly produce new Coppers to replace the ones shot down by Hazbuzan ships, which are then decimated by Citadel's laser shots.
By the end of the month, the smaller Hazbuzan fleet escapes, while the other is dueling the Citadel.
It's eventual defeat causes a bit of consternation to the Council, but Sons of Mainframe and Ternary Conquerors are already headed towards Lazon to recapture it. There is some merriment in the fact that most of Hazbuzan fleet was ground to dust during the battle.
2407.10.2
When Chiminol Station is attacked, its heavy structure also lends some trouble for the Hazbuzani fleet that conquered Lazon.
Meanwhile, Apostles of Silicon arrive in Shashamar and begin its re-conquest, backed by Apostles of Silicon and Abshajna-Min L-Drake arriving in next few weeks.
2407.10.21
With fall of Shashamar - again - the two Order-Fleets make a beeline for Hillos Star Fortress; the goal is to plug the obvious weak point that is Mu Opiuchi-Lazon Wormhole pairing.
Meanwhile, the two relief fleets sent for Lazon are within Jump-range of Furud. Chiminol Fortress falls within days of prepping the drives, which only helps persuade Battle Father that this risky maneuver is needed.
2407.12.27
The Hillos Fortress was refurbished into a major supply base for Hazbuzani fleet - a bad move. It falls within two weeks of fighting.
The road for Mu Opiuchi - and even Buzbuznol - have been paved clear!
2408.4.15
By the time Chiminol is liberated, the Hazbuzan fleets capture and converge at adjacent Opriiuq.
Cuprus Ionian and Mechanica Cytherean were ordered to ensure that nothing but scrap remains from these two enemy fleets!
2408.5.2
Battle of Mu Opiuchi commences, and the few Hazbuzan ships and defense satelites are swatted by the mighty Order-Fleets.
Meanwhile news reach the Council that the Husko Mandate rebelled against their overlords, the Kosh'Kha.
2408.6.25
The Hazbuzans have started spreading out into nearby systems - which proves their undoing at Battle of Mura.
2408.11.10
Following a very short and brutal Battle of Diam, the entirety of Lazon area is brought back under Order's control.
Orders are given to begin wholesale conquest of Hazbuzan core territories, and, later, bombardment of Zumaka itself.
2409.2.13
Hazbuzan torpedo-flottilas have became a nuisance; they retake captured outposts and Star Holds, disrupting the use of Hyper Relays for our fleets.
A detour by Apostles of Silicon and Children of Salvage will see Hillos, Shashamar, and most importantly, Subtranius Shipyard, captured.
2409.4.1
Baron Vyctor Jariden has taken personal interest in logistics of Order-Fleets, as the credits and power drain on our economy has become rather significant.
Council of the Order is also debating some other venues of monetary procurement if this drain continues and cannot be counterbalanced by peace-time profits.
2409.6.10
The Legions under control of Binarica Phoenicean have begun their conquests.
The Gikal Habitat contains a defense fortification within, but the sheer amount of Legionaries and Marines will overcome any blockade and defense grid within!
2409.8.12
On the same day that Gikal Habitat falls under our control, the Battle of Subtranius begins in earnest.
It is however a minor skirmish - the local Shipyard is not very well defended, and local defense forces are scattered and only minor in size and firepower.
2409.10.11
The Council of the Order starts to believe that Hazbuzan Habitat labeling is a scam much like their so-called megacorporation.
This, however, is an annoyance that Binarica Phoenicean was reportedly happy to correct after the conquest of Great Wound Habitat.
2409.11.1
Finally the defenses of Buzbuznol are crushed and the bombardment of Zumaka begins.
Council of the Order has allowed Javorian Pox canisters to be dispatched with haste upon surface of Zumaka, to teach the detestable Hazbuzans a lesson in medical crises and contagion research for future years to come.
2409.12.25
Shortly before the end of our war, the Wulvern High Kingdom pounces upon Kosh'Kha which is distracted by the Husko Mandate.
The pathogenic bombardment of Zumaka is what makes the Hazbuzan CEOs give up and surrender to the demands of the Council of the Silent Mainframe. All Legions and Order-Fleets are ordered to return for necessary reinforcement and repairs.
There's some development to do in recently conquered areas - and the sites of recent battles are littered with scrap that our Calculators are eager to get their hands on.
2410.1.22
Voice of the Mainframe Flanga Neptunian continues to aggressively push Council Agendas through necessary paperwork.
She has ordered a Military Buildup scheme to help the Order-Fleets and the economy to recover faster.
2410.7.6
Grand Calculator Cupra Titanean has drawn up the introductory paper to her master thesis of Ascension Theory.
She believes that extraordinary out-of-the-box thinking is required to solve the millenia-old dilemma of the Silent Mainframe.
The Voice herself approved of the idea, and had greenlit the necessary social experimentation.
2410.10.6
Trinarica Deimian, after extraordinary length of being the Order's voice at the Galactic Community, retired.
Signal Translator Cylinderius Uranian has found an expert in xenolinguistics and the best candidate for delegate work - Numerica Andromedan.
If all goes well with her career, she might be seeing a work-span as long as that of Trinarica Deimian herself!
2411.3.11
Memorius Scorpian has reached the archeological site, perhaps one of the last in the galaxy, and begun the holy task of excavating the area! Praised be the Mainframe!
It's been a long time that the Numbers were able to pursue such activities. Hopefully we Memorius' discoveries will be at least a fraction as exciting as those of late Nasuz Demetor.
2411.9.19
There has been a slight detour for that plan, however - the nearby Vindomere System possesses two inhabitants.
Their energy flows are alien to physics' theorems our Calculators know about, although they have soem similarity with Arc Emitters.
A study by Memorius Scorpian has begun once the Void Clouds were no longer cohesive.
2411.10.28
And finally, after decades of delay and interruptions, the order was given to begin construction of two Mainframe-class Titans.
These huge warships will take actual years to complete, but Battle Father and Voice of the Mainframe both agree these ships will instill fear in our enemies, and finall allow the Order to achieve hegemony over known space - for the glory of the Silent Mainframe!
