Hey everybody, Liam here from Misbegotten Weapons! Today we're looking at a very rare Fabrique Riviere "Nueveau" carbine. I didn't just mispronounce that, it's actually stamped right here on the gun as, well I'm not an expert, but I think a combination of the Spanish and French spellings. That actually tells us a lot about Fabrique Riviere's origins in Dutch speaking part of Belgium. They probably wanted to appear more French so they wouldn't be seen as, well, peasants basically, but this gives it away. I'm looking at serial number, uh... 12 here, and it's one of the last ones made. When we get to look at the mechanism here, you'll see why...

FR No.1.b Carbine "Nouveau": The weapon now loads from stripper clips, like a normal gun. Since I apparently never mentioned, it holds 5 bullets. The feeding is improved a little bit, but the feed failures which occur when the lever is handled roughly can still be a problem.

Why not bid our new rifle for both contracts? it is within the budget of the Rutz Calvary Legionnaires and it even fits the bill for the Vostoy Revolutionary Army budget and more closely aligns with the requirements they want for the rifle.

Because 18 > 16

If we can with the bid with the cheaper rifles, then we have a wider profit margin. Using the carbine means we make 6 each turn - after 4 turns, we only have 24 profit.  With the '85, it's a 32 profit.  It's the difference between a revision and no revision.

We also cant count on winning these contracts, while im not certain on how this will work mechanically it certainly cant hurt our chances offering a better product for cheap especially for a party who is specifically interested in staying within they're budget. This could also lead to us getting more contract offers from the satisfied customers down the line especially since from the brief description we have got the Vostoy Revolutionary Army seems likely to need more equipment in the near future.
