(( :o

:))

I love the tranquil look on the children's faces. All I have to say, they look in joyful peace.))

can a moderately good artist draw a giant lepord playing with some children?

I intended to do this some time ago but stuff got in the way - pardon the lateness!

I like your style, Strongrudder!

I guess, dwarven children are similar to human children except for the following:

  • Male dwarven children do have short beard hair, perhaps just peach fuzz. I see you did that.
  • Female dwarven children would be a bit squatter than you've drawn them, but I love the drawing style otherwise!

Now that is awesome, and not only because you know how to read.

I've never really done a panelled comic before but have been inspired to try my hand at it. I've borrowed heavily from Shook's style as I'm sure many will notice. Like the V eyebrow. Unfortunately this is more of a fortress mode piece rather than strictly adventure mode so I apologize beforehand. It involves crafting stone instruments and domestic animal grazers.

Bahaha, that's awesome! The delivery of the electron-line was spot on. It made the start of this day even better. c:

but I'd bet Shook saved them somewhere, right?
noooo this was the only place i stored the comics D:

KIDDING. Of course i save them on my drive, just in case something like this takes place. But before i post them again, i must compliment strongrudders awesome drawing. So sweet, so heartwarming, and yet so incredibly dorfy. Only dorfs would let their children have a GIANT LEOPARD for a pet, but i kind of want one now. :P

Anyways, in the exceptional case that people might be missing my doodly things, here you go:

That's great, and really sweet too! Drunken Gun's version is awesome too, but in a different way.

It shall be done!

Also, awesome trilobite sculpture-thingy from Deviantart;

Ok, here's the raws;

That's a lot of legs! And it's also the only attack they get; kicking. Trilobites have have no teeth or even mandibles, and not much in the way of claws either.

They live underground, and do jack-shit worth noting besides roota round in the mud. Giant trilobites though are worth being afraid of at 75,000,000 urists, and training for war! (even with just a kick attack)

Man it would be neat to have fossils in DF. Especially fancy multi-tile ones, and double especially if they were susceptible to necromancy.

I'm going to have a stab at making a cavern dwelling Anomalocaris/Opabinia/Wiwaxia.

They're just too awesome. Think giant shrimp with undulating swimming like a ray but with segmented lobes swimming, with eyes with well over 15000 lenses, and a pineapple ring shaped mouth that can constrict, and two gripper horns that can snap a trilobite in two.

Opabinia was similar, but had five eyes instead of two, and a proboscis to grip small creatures to fling it into its mouth rather than two powerful grippers.

Also Anomalocaris was much, much larger than Opabinia. Anomalocaris was nearly a metre long.

Anomalocaris, and Opabinia.

I'm also gonna draw something just so that I don't derail the thread further.

They remind me of the forgotten beasts that people draw.

Ooh yeah, fossils would be rad. I guess they could function like underground engravings, and as an item when you mine it out? One that you could build for display?

:B

But I'm wandering offtopic here, sorry 'bout that.
