Question: What is a bastard mod? Is it like YuGiOh but worse and on purpose?

Depends.
The premise of 'bastard mod' is that the mod, infact, is a bastard and has provided limited and/or incorrect information to players. A lot of them come down to collaborative puzzles where you can just mechanically break the setup, others are complex to the point of most or all players acting in 80-100% ignorance at all times. Like most questions, the best way to answer it is to direct you to example games. KYOSN  was one of my favorites, but most of the ones in the noteable games archive serve to demonstrate the genre.
A particular mark of the genre is performing actions like placing and retracting votes to try and figure out what hidden abilities players have that are altering the visible votecount, for a brief insight into what the play tends to be like.

Another example would be Maximum Spin's "Dark Secret" BYOR Mafia. It's the most recent bastard mod game, in which everyone was mafia and either: a death miller, cultist, serial killer, werewolf or any combination of those.

Immortality like that would be even more game breaking than four Aaron's in one place.
You're both so obviously scum that this is a surprisingly difficult decision.

Gauging interest in a [Hardcore] Power Hungry Mafia 2  (See previous game).  It would be an action-heavy, potentially horribly imbalanced mess, but fun if you like lots of powers.  The Hardcore modifier just means that day and night times are fixed with no extensions.

If there's enough interest, I'd consider throwing it up in the queue.  Do we even still have a queue?  No we don't.  So I guess that might be after NQT's game?

Oooh, you were in the last one.  Anything to add in regards to the format?

I don’t remember anything beyond being annoyed with TBF and killing weirdo. Should probably read it and get back to you.

I'd chug way too many roles at once, yeah. *gets Evolving Mutator*
YOU'RE IN DANGER.

But this actually looks more like my element, ToS.

Yea, Town of Salem - It's online mafia that you can play a round of in about 30 minutes. They made it a paid game recently, thanks to a rash of bots, but I have an account I don't use any more if you want in.

It has a wide variety of roles for town, mafia, and other, and NOONE'S vanilla! Everyone does something!

Last time I played that game there were at least a couple of vanilla town options. Although last time I played was years ago.

Nope not any more. Closest you get is a used Retributionist - Having revived a Townie, all he gets is a vote.

Maybe a Medium, because people tend to leave when they die.
Even in ranked.
People is spechul.

Huh.  Yeah, I've heard about Town of Salem, but never played it.

Well, continue to let me know if you'd be interested in that game I mentioned.
