While I like the idea of having a different setup from "first come, first served", I'm wondering HOW do we set it up?

I mean, how do we decide when a game can go into signups?  How do we decide when a game should be able to run?

If its not 'first come' then what's the criteria?

Blargh.  This is why I stopped taking econ courses.

Games really shouldn't be allowed into signups until they've been cleaned up.  I'd suggest a "mod-IC" system for those that are new to modding, because with fewer games we need to make sure the ones we do run are high-quality.

After that... I don't really know.  Maybe on a "first to fill up signups" queuing basis, though this entire thing is getting kind of weird and reminding me of the brief stint I had in engineering.

A mod-IC system would be a good way to help with quality, but have we really had a big problem with bad games? (hush you Paranormal folks)  It seems the bigger problem is just too many of ANY game, good or bad.

first to fill up signups means a system almost like what we have now, except a large batch of games stuck in 'limbo' when they are full but unable to start.

Perhaps using a polling system will work well.  Have a poll with proposed games and the game with the most votes is next.

The only problem is that some games might not ever be elected.

Yes.  A system similar to what we have now, with the key difference that games don't start until there's space, which is the real problem.

I also think that there are some games I'd more readily sign up for if I knew the mod were being coached.

Fine fine, first come, first served.

However. If we're doing that, then the list order needs to be accurate; my game should be before Horrible Role Mafia in the list as mine was announced first.

I'm thinking Vector has the better plan, as far as once a game is proposed.

The game gets qued AFTER it completes its signups.  Once it's qued, it's first come, first served.

So once a slot opens, the first to have been filled gets in.

As far as how to decide when a game can start signups...what do you guys think of that mod-IC system?  I'm worried about having a few of us decide what games are viable and which aren't.
