Ooh! Let's hear the ridiculous ones.
Obviously, there's the fact that after I worked half a year at the deli (quickest reaction time, to date) I am the only person among every other bearded fellow working in the same store with equally sensitive items in their department to wear a beard-guard.
Others I could maybe list is...
With my first job; bussing tables and other similarly important duties at a local tavern. We were all sorts of small-beach town low-key even the employees have fun working kinda atmosphere; After working there for a year and a half all sorts of crap just went in disaster domino fashion, I lost interest quickly, but bit the bullet for another 1.5 years due to it being the only available job I could fill at the time. To start, there was the basic removal of free-meal privileges to the employees after working, unless you worked a full-time shift. And then it went further to limiting the menu to exclusively sandwiches (not even the small snacks were allowed), and then later, even if 3 people were working, everything under the sun must be done before thinking of ordering. I think the change of manager didn't help. Never, at that time, did I get in trouble so often for doing the same routine I've been doing for years. My desperation for a change in atmosphere (or the assholes that took over more like) motivated me to put in my 2 weeks.
My next job after that wasn't so nice as well. Similar routine, time = food, food = really limited, work MUST be done, even if you have it already done. But then it went further that if the day is slow enough, even if it has it's surprise ridiculously busy times (IE-ambush siege), clock out immediately, you're no longer needed. I still get in trouble even though I get let out by the same person chewing me out. And of course, they weren't a fan of any electronic devices (especially those that play cheap little flash games that can easily be paused in an instant to get back to work once something happens), even if nothing is going on for a long stretch of time, and E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G under the sun is worthy of a commander in chief of the Third Reich. I don't get told to go out for the slowness, but because "YOU ARE PLAYING GAMES, PUT THAT AWAY! LOOK BUSY (for... nobody at all.)!!"; while there's a TV in the kitchen (which I was also glancing at at times which showed football and NASCAR and such all the time) that even the kitchen staff was watching because they even had nothing to do (which eventually got pulled away as long as I was working there; just as well with their radio, they had to have the volume quieter than their stoves). And even with the TV in there, and my dinky phone; I usually wait a minute or 2 before I checked outside to see if we have any customers anyway (which obsiously is a very common oversight). When I finally lost interest in my job, I got chewed out like you wouldn't believe for calling out my manager (which thinks he's the owner) on all his serious flaws and frivolous mandates. He provided me with a choice to either "Continue working like when you first came in (a *happy-go-lucky (because I finally got a job)* uber-helpful (because I was being a gentleman to my co-workers) cleaning machine (because I generally did more than my share to pass time when there was nothing else to do)), or leave and collect your last hours of pay (and never return).". I left without saying a thing heading directly to the spot to collect my pay and drove off. His "plan" seemed to have backfired when I saw his shocked expression as I was leaving (turns out he DIDN''T fire me, but technically I quit; exactly as I planned. I knew I was going to get caught or fired anyway; so why not try a Xanatos roulette out before I leave? I won.). Oft a mistake many make when they try to pull crap on me more than once.
In regards to bullcrap 2: I, being capable of 3-people's strength/speed/ability in my department not too talkative and usually tries to keep things under control, was being replaced by 2 socialite girls much younger than I was, that didn't know crap about crap, worked at a pace that snails can easily outrun. Mind you, they've worked long enough to at least be competent workers; competent they were not, dabbling? Yeah right. ALL my coworkers agreed with me, and even questioned the managers' judgment on this one. Hell, St. Patrick's Day, I pulled their shifts (3 hours after their assigned time until they FINALLY came in), missing a class I had to attend in the process, and having to split my tips with them (fortunately, my co-workers that bore witness were just and kind enough to deny them the benefit they were "entitled" to. Also because I knew what they (the waitresses, not the replacement runners) would be up against with those crowds, I decided to sacrifice my time to make their jobs far far easier. Plus, I respected them as much as they respected me. Apparently alot.). And you know what especially sucked about that? My managers sided with them (the replacement runners), despite my sacrifice and practical slavery to keep them in business. Many times I was tempted to just leave at the time I was assigned naturally, but anytime I asked instead to leave when I was assigned to; I MUST WORK. I literally facedesked onto one of the tables once I heard that, rather loudly; even my siblings bore witness to the bullshit that happened, and even called him out, and I still had to work. This was maybe a week or 2 before the climax of Bullcrap 2. I think I had to down 16oz of raw Jagermeister to finally calm down after that one.
