Is that even possible? It stands to reason that with some luck, someone could prop the blocks up just so to align a level, but it also stands to reason that there's probably nothing coded in to handle that... Hmmm... It is, however, possible to indefinitely delay losing by glitching a block into the sides... :-\

It was a response to an xkcd comic http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/hell.png. Someone actually made it into a game.

Also, I have played Hatetris and yeah, I hate it. I will never play it again; it is too frustrating. I always need those long blocks and it gives me a 's'/'z' block (whatever you call 'em) every time.

To get a line in that one with a rounded bottom, would require better physics(things are too bouncy in that implementation) and I doubt that that implementation even bothered adding line code.

However, with a proper implementation, you just need to build your own foundation that would create a level platform wedged between the two walls. Then you can build normally on top.

Unless there is an additional trick of the width being something like 10.5 bricks wide, then you can't win at all.

This "Hell" implementation was mentioned on the xkcd thread: http://www.kongregate.com/games/banthar/hell-tetris

It actually clears straight lines and has a high-score of 21 lines.

I got 4 lines. I think the strategy is to fill in the edges as a priority, and try to fill two lines at once to create a situation where you can't help but finish one of the lines the next move.

Zero lines. After giving me the same exact goddamn Z block every time three games in a row I just gave up.
