Also: I suggest we pull together the assault rifles, put two together, have a retractable ceiling turret mount, and automate that. Assuming we have enough of them. Failing that, giant blades are always a possibility.

How many people started with rifles? there might be enough for two of those, if we break down the rifles, rebuild them as turrets, and use the leftover material as mounting materials.

EDIT: Now that I think of it, holding them in reverse with the part where your hands normally go would, since it's already electrified, make for a handheld pair of railguns.

((Lawl, that might actually work. Like I said, the basic principle is that the projectile completes a circuit across the 'rails', and the electromagnetic forces created push the projectile forwards. Really fast.))
