On second thought, I could add some sound effects estimating that it's actually a skunk with shell and poisonous sting. Say, bumping sound of boulders hitting it's shell, dwarves losing their breath and smacking their mouths silently because of it's smell and whizz of sting attack...
I might try that eventually. Would be good training for a wannabe sound designer :D

EDIT: SURPRISE SUBMISSION!!!
Spoiler: Utesh (click to show/hide)
I basically just traced a skunk skeleton and slapped some shit on top of it. Not very creative, I know. Also forgot about the whole bloated body thingy...

So we got monsters above, monsters below, dwarves in the middle and a party in the dining hall. Sounds good to me.
If all else fails, remember one thing:  kittens are delicious, nutritious little goblin-baiters, cavern explorers, and ambush-finders.

I wonder why nobody but me got the idea to NOT try to fit a turtle shell on a skunk.

Deon's Genesis mod.

I'm pretty dependent on the mod; plain-ol' DF seems too bare for me now, sadly.

It's not a bug, it's a mod.
But it might be a bug in the mod. What is "WARFARE METALS"?

I just imagined a giant robot with cannons and blades jutting out at all angles.

It's a giant humanoid with large mandibles and is made of warfare metals. So he's a man of metal with mandibles instead of a mouth. And he rapes people/things.

What are those large mandibles anyway? I tried googling "mandible" and apparently it's just a jaw.

It probably means the mandibles of an insect.

For those not quite learned of non human anatomy, mandibles are the insect equivilent of jaws, teeth, grasping limbs, and such.
